Zikomo Beach Front Self Catering Accommodation

We are located in the Namib Desert in the quiet holiday town of Henties Bay. Our house is situated on the north dune right on the beach. Your space will be the private open plan 2-bedroom loft apartment adjacent to the main house with a breathtaking view of the Atlantic ocean. This is a wonderful location for the active person, jogging or strolling on the remote beaches or simply sitting on the balcony enjoying the peace and tranquility of nature. The apartment has a private entrance and the stairs lead up to the living space. There are 2 bedrooms. The main bedroom has a queen sized bed and sleeper couch with an en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom has 2 three-quarter beds and a separate bathroom with a shower only. The apartment can accommodate up to 6 people (4 adults and 2 children) since the sleeper couch is located in the main bedroom. If the group is comprised differently and they don’t wish to share the main bedroom then arrangements need to be made for additional mattresses prior to arrival. You will have your own garage and safe parking on the premises for your vehicle with your own remote control to come and go as you please. There is also access to the beach via a side door for you to use. We live in the main house and work during the day. I am a nurse and my husband is the doctor in town. We are available for any questions, queries or emergencies you may have. There will always be someone at home or you can reach us on our mobile numbers. Our property is located in Bamboes Street and it is a quiet neighborhood There is no public transportation and you will need your own car to get around. It is a small town, so you can also walk to town if you wish to do so. There are 4 x 4 vehicles to rent (ask me for more information if you are interested) if you want to take self-drive tour up the coast to see the cape fur seal colony at Cape Cross Nature Reserve or drive into the desert to explore the Messum Crater and Brandberg massif. The town of Swakopmund is situated approximately 70km south of Henties Bay and has many activities available such as go-karting, dune boarding and camel rides into the dunes. The town of walvis Bay is a further 30km south of Swakopmund and offers activities such as catamaran trips with oysters and champagne and guided desert tours to Sandwich Harbour. We have laundry facilities available and you can arrange with us to do your laundry for you at an additional cost. Wifi is available and is unlimited, however since we live in a remote area the reception is sometimes intermittent. Unfortunately there is not much we can do about it as the problem is with the service provider.
