There is a childrens play area and tennis court in the village and many short walks in the area. There are also local shops, bakers and chemist for essential supplies. Close by are several restaurants all serving excellent local cuisine at very fair prices and which can be accompanied by a selection of the local wines. The larger coastal towns of Grottamare and San Benedetto are less than thirty minutes away. This section of the coast is blessed with many extensive sandy beaches all kept immaculately clean in the season and lined with restaurants and bars. There are water sports for those more adventurous and in the season many places for younger members of the family to find something to occupy their time.The local fishing port is the largest in Italy supplying many varieties of fish making the area famous for its cuisine. If you want to walk in the hills then the Sibillin mountains and National Park are an hour away with stunning scenic views and where in the winter there are possibilities of skiing. If that seems too much effort then they can be viewed at leisure from our infinity poolside!! Casa Collina is surrounded by many beautiful small towns and villages as well as nearby the famous cities of Ascoli Piceno and Macerata. The cathedral at Loreto is a place of pilgrimage and you will find several ideas in a folder when you arrive. There is something for all ages and any stay will still leave you with much to see and do--and hopefully return to Casa Collina. Throughout the year there are Festivals everywhere and visitors are always made welcome. Parking in private drive at house. Own transport would be needed. The great thing with Le Marche is there is something to suit all ages. In the village of Cossignano there are two play areas and a public tennis court as well as a football field. There is also a bar and restaurant with many others close by. At Ripatransone there is an adventure play centre and at the coast there are several fantastic beaches with numerous childrens play area. Not too far away is a popular water park as well as go-karting near Pedaso . If you like water sports you can go jet skiing as well as para gliding. If on the other hand you want walking then wander in to the fabulous Sibillini mountains or just stroll around any of the historic towns and villages. For music lovers there are many historic concert halls nearby with two of the most famous being at Offida and Macerata. But if you like more modern music there are numerous nightclubs on the coast catering for all ages long in to the night. Of course do not forget the Italian joy at holding festivals at every opportunity and at which all visitors are made very welcome. Some of the largest caves in Europe can be visited at Frassassi and there are numerous historic museums. Finally there are several opportunities for Italian cookery lessons or Italian wine tasting experiences that can be arranged locally.
