Mountain view Apartment near the sea

This lovely, first floor apartment is perfect for those who love peaceful and relaxing holidays very close to the sea. It can host up to 5 people, either a family or a group of friends. There are two bedrooms (one double and two single in each). There is also an extra bed in the living room, too. The Kitchen is quite spacious and fully equipped. The large balcony can offer you a magnificent view of the Cretan mountains. It is 100 m from the sea. Cafes, restaurants, the supermarket are close too! The apartment is located in the mid-south Crete and is a perfect starting point to explore not only the nearby area but also the whole island. Beaches, cafes, restaurants and the supermarket are at walking distance. You have, also, easy access (by car or bike) to Phaistos, Matala, Kommos, Kalamaki, Agiofarago, Agia Gallini, and many more nearby places and sites worth visiting for daily summer time excursions. Heraklion, or Rethymno,are just an hour drive away. Chania, or Agios Nikolaos, about 2 hours. You will use all the apartment during your stay. There is plenty of parking space. My husband, Giannis, and I love meeting and hosting travellers and do our best to make you feel welcome and enjoy your stay. We will be available for everything you need during your stay, so feel free to ask us any questions you may have about the place,shopping, taverns, swimming, etc. Kokkinos Pyrgos is famous for its long sandy beach with shallow water, on the east side of the port, ideal for young children. (umbrellas and sunbeds are free-you pay only for your drinks). It overlooks the Libyan Sea, Paximadia islands and offers magnificent sunsets!! When the atmosphere is clear you can see Gavdos island the southernmost spot of Europe! You can, also , enjoy your swimming in Makrimaliana beach, west side of the port-2mins walking from the apartment, a quiet and peaceful beach. There are many cafes and taverns where you can enjoy your drink or taste local dishes and fresh fish. Apart from swimming, the place offers a variety of activities, such as, sailing, scuba diving, hiking, cooking with locals. The town of Timpaki, 2km away, offers a variety of shops for your everyday needs: clothes shops, shoe-shops supermarkets, bookshop, ATM banks, post office, cafes and a street market on Fridays. There is a frequent bus service to connecting Kokkinos Pyrgos with north Crete or other attractions of the area. The bus stop is very close to the apartment. I can email the current bus timetable to you, to arrange your holidays in case you won' t have a car.
