‘Little Italy’ Paradise - with bikes & kayaks
- a 2 minute drive to Ferry &/or short walk to Picton Central & Waterfront - my home is quiet & private with sea & bush views - 'Little Italy’ bedroom is a small & serene space with queen bed & private en-suite - teas, coffee, filtered water & fruit freely available - breakfast (home-baked scone, muffin, fruit & expresso coffee) available $15 pperson - bikes & kayaks for special price - off street private car parking - surrounded by bush & birdsong with great hiking/biking tracks closely With lockbox and private entrance to the bedroom, guests can independently come and go with ease. With its small bedroom space, ‘Little Italy’ is ideally suitable for guests who travel lightly and are on short stays. If requiring a larger bedroom, or if this room is unavailable, you can book “‘Bush Views’ Paradise”, my other AirBnB bedroom in my home. ‘Little Italy’ has an outside patio for your own private use and a large and comfortable lounge is available to unwind and a Smart TV with Netflix, Prime Video and you tube options in your room on request. Wake up in the beautiful bush surroundings and with Picton township and waterfront activities a short stroll to. Drinks - plunger coffee, a variety of teas, and filtered water are freely available in main hallway. Breakfast (home-baked muffin, scone, variety of fruit and expresso coffee) is available - $15 per person - at your designated time. Minimum request time is the day before. A short walk to all central amenities or hike/bike on the many bush tracks nearby. Scott mountain bikes with helmets, are available for a small fee, to ride and explore the tracks or to visit the local sights. Kayaks with full safety equipment are similarly available, with the Picton Marina at the bottom of our street. Both bikes and kayaks require bookings. Wander and explore the back gardens to the private enclosed bush area and stroll over the bridge to the swinging seat beyond. A lockbox with key is available and private entrance for independent access. And car parking is available directly to the right of house and close to your room. Teas and coffees are freely available. Our dining room/lounge is available also. Breakfast (muffin, scone, fruit and espresso coffee) available for $15.pp Feel free to wander our garden which leads down into Bush areas with a stream and bridge leading to a secluded, private swinging seat. Or pop down to our side deck and take time out under the beautiful old Magnolia tree - supposedly the oldest one in Picton. We have a large book shelf of a variety of books. Please just ask to browse and borrow any you like. Our living space and kitchen are our own space so please respect this as we would your own privacy. But I am here to help with any questions you may have and to make this trip and visit of yours the best for you. As host and owner with my partner Steve, and also living in the 1920’s old Italian ‘Perano’ family home, I am available outside of work hours and by email, txt or phone call when needed. Our home is serene and peaceful and set in a lovely relaxing location. You are welcome to as much privacy as you would like. Though Steve and I are here in the evenings and we look forward to providing any further information on this beautiful part of New Zealand that may interest you. Local cafes, restaurants, lively little pubs, a variety of gift shops, book and art shops, boat cruising, kayaking, biking, swimming with dolphins, hiking the hills of Queen Charlotte Sounds- it is all here on our doorstep. And the super friendly Picton people who make this such a great gem of a place to explore. Close by is Blenheim town with its surrounding, glorious vineyards; boutique and large estates to sample wines and local foods.. Information on walks, places to visit and explore and what to see are all available at our home. And two Scott mountain bikes with helmets are available for hire to make exploring the neighbourhood great fun - - bike tracks through the Victorian Domain - to the reservoir and across the ridge to view the Marlborough Sounds - along the ridge and down into Waikawa Bay for a food and drink stop at the Jolly Rodger at Waikawa Marina - around the bays overlooking the water... We have brochures and booklets in our main hallway on what to do and see in Picton to help you make the most of your stay.
