No. 58 is a very cosy two bedroom mid terrace house opposite McHale Park (GAA) in Castlebar, Co. Mayo. The downstairs living area consists of a kitchen/dining, sitting room, work station and utility leading to an enclosed rear yard where one can bask in the sunshine and relax ! McHale road is a very friendly community in a cul de sac and is a 15 minute walk to the town centre with shops, pubs and entertainment. It is also a 10 minutes walk from the train station. "I'd live here myself" was my friends initial reaction when he first visited the house in 2020. It’s a cosy and welcoming house, tastefully decorated and inviting. The solid fuel stove at the heart of the house draws you in and radiates a comfortable and intimate feeling of “this is where I want to be right now”, leaving the world outside. The enclosed rear yard is tastefully decorated with seating area for those who enjoy the great outdoors and fresh air. A safe area for kids and adults alike. Ground Floor: Entrance Hall, Small sitting room with TV, Work Station, Kitchen / Dining Room and Utility Upstairs: Two Double Bedrooms Shower, Toilet and Wash hand basin and Hot Press. As your host I am always available to provide a big welcome to Castlebar, to provide information, to offer support or guidance to make your stay enjoyable and memorable. Situated opposite McHale Park (GAA Grounds) it is a five minute stroll to the nearest shop, pub, pharmacy, cinema, bowling alley and amusement centre. A fifteen minute walk will bring you to the town centre where you have the choice of shops, restaurants and pubs to help you treat yourself and pass the day away. Perhaps some would prefer a round of golf at Castlebar Golf Club, practice their swing at the local Driving Range, or try your hand at Castlebar Tennis Club! Another option to unwind is to take to walking or cycling along the Greenway around Lough Lannagh and all the way to Turlough House and the National Museum of Country Life where you can enjoy a light lunch, or simply a coffee as you read a book. The energetic can opt to exercise at the gym, or soak it all away at the swimming pool, sauna and steam room, all at the Leisure Complex which is a 20 minute walk away. Castlebar is well serviced by public transport with the train station within a ten minute walk and Bus Eireann is a 20 minute walk. Castlebar is also serviced by local Taxi services. Knock Airport is 30 minute drive. Guests can also hire bicycles from local providers and enjoy a relaxing exploration of the area including the Greenway to Turlough House and the National Museum of Country Life. Centrally situated, Castlebar is also the ideal base for exploring the many magnificient jewels of Mayo including: Westport & Croagh Patrick Newport Foxford Moorehall Ballina The Ceide Fields Cong and Ashford Castle Knock Shrine
