Peaceful Stay in Artistic, Beautiful Agriturismo

We are a caring, family run, small (2 house), artistic, peaceful agriturismo nestled in the unspoiled nature of the Garfagnana with beautiful mountain views. You can stay here and enjoy countless possibilities that nature offers us...within walking distance from 10th c. historic church, river, forest hikes, train station, main road-S.R. 445 connecting Lucca & Aulla. There is a lovely pool, vegetarian restaurant ~ where we cook healthy, organic meals & have yoga classes, children's playground. We offer a large spacious apartment, (a ground flour of the two storey house) with big fully equipped kitchen, large dining area ~ sitting room with an open fireplace, a generous portico with big wooden table for outside dining & relaxing ~ with private entry and parking. It has one large bedroom with a queen size bed and a single bed (both with orthopedic mattresses) and a small bathroom with shower. There also is a full size pull-out couch in the sitting room. All of our guests are welcome to use the lovely outdoor swimming pool with beautiful mountain views, children's playground, bicycles and WiFi and play with our cozy cats and friendly dogs for no extra charge. We can offer healthy, delicious, vegetarian, seasonal breakfasts and meals for an extra charge. We have weekly yoga classes and massages with an internationally trained qualified massage therapist. We are a small, creative centre and we are always offering different happenings and possibilities. Our own home is next door , so we could be easily available if there is a need. the houses are facing different directions so there is a feeling of privacy. Some times we do share morning coffee or an evening bonfire, wine and music :) We are nestled in the foresty hills of the Parco Alpi Apuane in the Garfagana. Here nature is still unspoiled with calls of deer at night and unwanted visits from wild boar if the garden gate is left open. Here many beautiful nature walks can start right from your doorstep. Each season offers different possibilities and activities to be explored such as: - Hiking - Mountain biking - Caving - Canoeing - Horseback riding - Paragliding - Skiing - Mountain climbing …not to mention an abundance of medieval festivals, crafts, music, food, museums all steeped in the rich cultural traditions of the area. We are within walking distance from the Poggio train station from which Lucca, Florence, Pisa and Cinque Terra etc. are possible day-trips . Although we are quietly secluded in nature, the main road SR 445 is only one kilometer away. The closest airport, in Pisa, is less than one and a half hours away. We have four beautiful outside cats and two friendly dogs. If you like horses ~ a lovely horse riding school is just 10 min. away. In the month of August there many local Festas and Sagras to enjoy... although at night the sound can travel so if you would like turn in early during these times you may want to bring ear-plugs.
