Welcome to Maya Sanctuary :) Hidden in the Kanimbla Valley west of the Blue Mountains, this is a 200 acre sanctuary for people, wildlife, and the forest. Maya Sanctuary is our home and sanctuary in the mountains. We also live part time in Woolloomooloo, where we also host guests from all over the world. We love a chat, sharing food and music, and practicing yoga, feldenkrais and meditation. Kanimbla Valley is on the western side of the Blue Mountains, in the border between Wiradjuri, Darug and Gundungurra lands. It is a lovely rural area, with an eclectic mix of farmers, craftsmen and artists of all kinds. We're perfectly situated to explore the Blue Mountains to the east, Jenolan to the south, Lithgow and Bathurst to the west, or north towards Mudgee. Please be aware that you will need a car to get around. We're a 15-20 minute drive from the town of Mount Victoria, and 25-40 minutes from the big centres of Lithgow and Katoomba. Trains come fairly regularly to and from the city.
