Les Moulins, Genouillé (17430)

The gîte 'Les Moulins' is a charming independant stonebuilt house with exposed beams, located in the countryside, with your own entrance and garden (950m²), your jeu de boules area and your private swimmingpool (5mx3m). The location is calm and peaceful but near to all amenities. There is a lovely big kitchen/diningroom and a cosy sittingroom with view out over the terrace and garden (950m²). A shower and separate toilet on the ground floor and upstairs you have 3 good-sized bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower and a baby cot. The gîte is an independant house with it's own entrance and you have access to the entire house. During your entire stay, we are available if needed to make your holiday as pleasant as possible. The gîte is located only 10 km from Surgères where you have all the necessary amenities, weekly market, bakeries, supermarkets, doctors, hairdressers, bars and restaurants etc. You can visit the remnants of a medieval chateau and a beautiful church too. In the summer, many music festivals in the whole area (Cognac Blues, Francofolies) of which two in Surgères, "The Surgères Brass Festival" and "Les Sérénades". The gîte is located outside the village of Genouillé (17430) in the Charente-Maritime, only 10km from Surgères where the TGV from Paris stops. La Rochelle airport is only 40 min away. It is also easily accessible by car from the highway A10. There is enough parking space at the gîte. In the region there are many things to do and to see. The seaside (Châtelaillon Plage and Fouras-les-Bains) is only 25 km away as well as the beautiful islands of Ile de Ré, Ile d'Oléron, Ile d'Aix and Ile Madame to which you can enjoy daily boat trips. The beautiful and vibrant town of La Rochelle is only a 40 minute drive which has a lovely harbour, a big aquarium, an old historic centre, design shops, bars and restaurants. Many summer festivals, weekly markets, night markets.
