Retreat 숨soom in Aya is a space for mindful meditation. Inspired by the East Sea's waves, the building made of natural limestone and marble. All indoor furniture are made of birch. The rooms boast views of the East Sea. Observe the water, ships, and the village by day; or stargaze on the grass by night. Hold the mindfulness bell in one hand and relish in its sound. Welcome to Retreat Soom in Aya. Rest on the grass and gaze mindfully at the Aya beach. Deulsoom is a 75sqm one bedroom suite for a maximum of 3 persons. One King-sized bed and 2 single-sized floor mat and bedding sets are provided. The suite has two bathrooms. - Hans Kruger goose-feathered bedding - WMF kitchenware, toaster - built-in Siemens induction, microwave, and coffee-maker - pressure rice cooker Enjoy your suite, rooftop and yard. Due to strong winds, the door to the rooftop must be locked. When you are done using the rooftop, please use the key at the bottom of the door to lock it. You may leave the key in the lock. A picnic mat, blankets and chair are provided in the stairway between the ground and first floors, which you may use outdoors. Please return them to this spot when you are done! This beach is a small and friendly beach where children and dogs may play together. Find the diamond at the beach! Enjoy a pumpkin sik-hye at the Geum-gang Hwa-am Temple. Observe the Su Boulder. Stroll in the woods at Geonbong Temple among the birds. Visit Sokcho's Central Market, Mun wu dang seo rim (an antique bookstore!) and Dong A Book Store. Parking: You may park below the slope at the entrance. You may also park at the top of the slope, but please note that turning the car around may be difficult at this spot. Retreat Soom in Aya is a space for quiet retreat and meditation. Please observe appropriate behavior during your stay.
