You have 500 m of accessible river frontage only metres from the garden. Buffalo River is a clear, clean healthy river inhabited by a variety of fish, platypus and birds and virtually no mozzies. Guests have access to the house and fenced garden. They can walk through a child safe gate from the garden to the river, the friendly goats may say hello. Guests may pat the horses but we ask that they don’t go in the paddocks with them as a safety precaution. We live a short distance from the home and can assist guests if they require us. Merriang /Buffalo River is a quiet country community only 3 km from Myrtleford. Buses that connect to rail services in Wangaratta stop in Myrtleford 3km from Buffalo River Homestead. It is best accessed by car.
