Comfortable double room in Swansea

We offer B&B in a small detached house in a quiet suburban street, handy for visiting the beautiful Gower Bays or museums and shopping in the city centre. Convenient for both universities. We offer a comfortable double bedroom on the first floor with TV and tea and coffee making facilities. The upstairs bathroom with shower over bath and separate toilet is reserved for guests but may be shared if the second bedroom is let. Guests are welcome to share our lounge and have access to wi-fi in every room. In the summer they can use the south facing private terrace and lawn at the rear of the house. There are two bicycles that are available for guests to borrow. There are cycle paths along the sea front. We like to chat with new visitors and will provide evening meals if required. We live on the premises, on the ground floor, and are always available for advice. Sketty is a quiet residential area with a small shopping centre and there are several pubs and restaurants locally. We are close to bus stops and it only takes about ten to twelve minutes by bus or forty minutes to walk to the centre of Swansea. Singleton Park with its beautiful walled garden is only 6 minutes walk and the beach of Swansea Bay is just beyond. The Gower peninsula with its spectacular beaches is easily accessible by bus and car. The town centre contains theatres, cinemas and museums such as the Maritime Museum or Dylan Thomas Centre. The entertainment quarter in Wynd Street attracts lots of young people. The Liberty Stadium renowned for both Swansea City Championship football and Ospreys rugby is north of the city centre. There are frequent buses passing along Gower Road which is only a few minutes walk away, parallel to Carnglas Avenue. Bus numbers to look for include 20 and 21 to Sketty, the 37 to Mumbles via Sketty or the 118 Rhossilli bus. Free parking is usually available on Carnglas Avenue. If arriving at Cardiff Airport, bus T9 will take you to Cardiff where you can catch a bus for Swansea. Cardiff train station is just beside the bus station and there are trains to Swansea every hour during the day. We can arrange to fetch you by car from Swansea bus or train station if required or a taxi from Swansea station will cost about £6 to £8. Please note that we are Carnglas Avenue not Road. It's just around the corner but we are parallel to Gower Road. The bed is a standard 4ft 6in double. There is a sofa bed as well which is useful for a child sharing with parents.
