Cosy, rustic family apartment in idyllic village

This apartment is your home away, nested at the ground floor in a converted farmhouse. Old wooden beams are evidence of the heritage of this building. The rooms are comfortably and warmly appointed. There are all amenities available that make you feel home. The accommodation is in walking distance to train station, grocery store and restaurants. Beside many attraction around Rohrbach, the Kiddy Dome is a place that keeps the whole family entertained and is in walking distance. The apartment is bright and cosy. The rustic interior and decoration give a special charm to this place. All amenities are available to assure a relaxed and comfortable stay For guest up to two person, the master bed room is prepared. We will close the extra guest room. For more than two guest, we prepare the guest room and number of beds according to the booking. In case both room are required for two guests who like to use individual rooms, kindly book for 3 guest to cover for the extra bedding and room. The apartment is easy accessed on ground level. No stairs to climb. All floors are level. The door key also opens on the main door to the building and can be accessed anytime. We are not living on site, but try to make it there whenever possible. We mostly offer self-check in, as this also adds flexibility to our guest. Detailed instruction are available. Nevertheless, even we are not on site, it is easy to reach us by call or text, we will always attend the matter and help. The building is located in a quite neighbourhood, near the centre of the village Rohrbach. The road passing in front has reduced traffic as it is prohibited for non-resident. As you are staying at the premise, you are allowed to drive the road. Rohrbach - a typical farming village - is located in Oberaargau region and at the footstep to Emmenthal. It is the perfect place to discover the countryside or to start journeys around Switzerland. This location is ideal as a hub to reach many scenic places and towns. Bern, Luzern, Basel and Zurich can be reached in less than 80 minutes by train, departing every 30min during peak hours. As the building is a converted wooden farmhouse, there may be some noise heard from people walking around on upstairs as the floors are wooden too. We remind other tenants to be considered to keep noise levels low. The curtains are good to block the view from outside for privacy, but will still let the lights in. If you want to keep your room dark, you have to close the wooden shutters as well. Open the window, pull the lock out and shut them. Hook the panels to the wall to avoid that they flap around during a windy night.
