Ovelha do Sol by MHM

“Ovelha do Sol” is on the one hand based on the location in Fajã da Ovelha and of course on the sun (“Sol”) that is very present here especially during the summer because the house is located in an exposed position. But the name of the house has another origin that can even be visited in real life: The logo of the house shows an “ovelha” (Portuguese for “sheep”) that is still living – very nearby in the village of Prazeres. The picture of the logo sheep is the drawn adaption of a photograph of one of the animals of the “Quinta Pedagógica dos Prazeres”– a local agricultural and educational project farm in Prazeres. The house owners have a special relation to this location and would like to recommend this project to the visitors of this house, too. Besides the little “zoo”, the Quinta offers a variety of local agricultural products and nice places for enjoying a coffee or tea with a cake or biscuit. Over the street there is another part of the Quinta which contains a little café as well and furthermore a periodically changing exhibition of arts and crafts that is also worth visiting. The Quinta can be found very easily in the center of Prazeres. When taken the exit to the village center from the roundabout, just drive straight on and there will be signposts The cottage in Fajã da Ovelha has 2 bedrooms and has capacity for 4 people. The cottage is 90 m². The accommodation is equipped with the following items: garden, garden furniture, iron, internet (Wi-Fi), hair dryer, balcony, garage the same building, 1 TV.
