Ancient Rye with its boutiques and restaurants, pretty market town Tenterden & Camber Sands are a 10 minute drive, Dungeness & Hastings within half an hour. Stylishly designed with cosy log burner, original artwork, vintage china, antiques, vaulted ceilings & exposed brick. After a tour of the award winning wine estates, a walk in the bluebell woods, a visit to the charming local pub, a day at the beach, or an afternoon taking in the delights of Rye, make yourself a coffee from the Harrods coffee machine, cosy up in front of the woodburner with a book, a game from the compendium, a classic film, or listen to the vintage record player. Then climb the stairs to the stunning antique bed for a super relaxed night’s sleep or soak in the original Victorian roll top bath. Outside a large garden with table and chairs by the pond is perfect for enjoying a glass of wine, afternoon tea or just watching the butterflies and birds. The whole cottage is yours. You're welcome to use the garden next to the Georgian barn - go through the wooden gate diagonally opposite the cottage front door to the right (as you look out) and you'll find the garden. Go along the brick path through the double flower border and you'll reach a table and chairs next to the large pond with waterlilies. The cottage will be left open for your arrival and there is a large information pack full of local tips to help you enjoy your stay. The hosts can be contacted in emergencies only, thereby leaving you to enjoy this perfect romantic hideaway in peace! Uniquely situated in the golden triangle of award winning vineyards Gusbourne Estate, Oxney Estate and Chapel Down and surrounded by bluebells woods, glorious country walks and located between the charming villages of Stone in Oxney and Appledore this stylish cottage is the perfect romantic hideaway. Both villages boast a great local pub, and Appledore’s ridiculously pretty and quintessentially English high street also has a tearoom, village shop and local antiques shops. Ancient and beautiful Rye with its independent boutique shops, cafes, restaurants and historic attractions or the pretty market town Tenterden are 10 mins drive away. For beach lovers, Camber Sands is close by with its sand dunes and expansive seascape, enjoy time swimming, beachcombing or maybe even try your hand at windsurfing, and for keen walkers there are an abundance of local walks and footpaths to explore right on your doorstep. The delights of Dungeness and Hastings are within half an hour’s drive and also the magical churches of Romney Marsh. Fantastic local walks including the Old Saxon Shoreway, or drive to one of the pretty local towns or villages. We are not set up to take children, infants or babies.
