Holiday home in beautiful Charente-Maritime

A modern detached Charentais villa in a large private garden on the outskirts of the village of St Simon de Pellouaille. The house offers spacious accommodation for up to six people in three large bedrooms (one double and two twins). There is a full complement of modern conveniences, including a fully fitted kitchen, laundry room, WiFi, satellite television with DVD, and CD/radio with an iPod dock. The key is in a key safe by the door. We will send you the code shortly before your holiday. There is a village shop in St Simon de Pellouaille and a large supermarket (Super U) ten minutes down the road in Gémozac. The coast and sandy beaches at Royan and Meschers are about half an hour's drive. Drive on further to visit the beautiful islands – Ile d’Oléron, Ile d’Aix and Ile de Ré. The historic town of Saintes, with its Roman amphitheatre, mediaeval cathedral, markets, shops and restaurants is about fifteen minutes away. Further afield, visit Cognac, Blaye and Bordeaux. St Simon de Pellouaille is about an hour's drive from the airports at Bordeaux and La Rochelle. There is no public transport in St Simon de Pellouaille and you will need a car. The front boundary of the garden is not fenced. You should therefore supervise young children to make sure they do not run out onto the road.
