Cosy Scandi-style Barn in Chiltern Countryside

Dinky Barn is a calm and cosy space that was my home for 5 years. I have lovingly updated and modernised the barn, whilst retaining all the original character and features, and am delighted to be able to share it with you! It was fully recarpeted and repainted in the past year, so everything looks and feels clean and fresh. The brand new kitchen was fitted in April 2021. Dinky Barn is located with other barns in a secure, gated courtyard just moments from the town centre of Princes Risborough. Dinky Barn is a totally unique space, and was once a cart-shed that dates back to the 1800’s. The original conversion was 20 years ago, and the vaulted ceilings and original beams are evident through the main room and the bedroom. There is a loft mezzanine that overlooks the lounge, with sky lights and large patios doors ensuring the place feels light and airy. The property is incredibly close to the main town centre of Princes Risborough, with amenities such as pubs, restaurants, cafes and supermarkets mere minutes from the barn. The train station is less than a mile away, and country walks and bike paths are also just moments away. People love to stay at Dinky Barn for the uniqueness of the space, the stylish decor, the peace and quiet, and the outstanding location. I have welcomed couples, families and friends all staying for a variety of reasons: romantic weekends away, being between house moves or renovations, visiting family, or wanting some down time in the countryside in beautiful surroundings. You are able to access all areas of the property, including the barn, patio area & dedicated parking space. I am available to be contacted by guests at any time, and am happy to take calls or respond to texts or emails as preferred. As Dinky Barn was my own home until recently, I know just about everything there is to know about the place and will always do my best to help! Dinky Barn is located in the historic market town of Princes Risborough. The barn is situated in a secured gated development in the centre of Princes Risborough town therefore very near to all the shops, pubs & restaurants. Princes Risborough mainline train station is just a 10 minute walk from the barn, with London Marylebone ~40 mins away by train. Parking: although there is a dedicated parking space for Dinky Barn, the space is quite snug when the car is parked so those with larger vehicles may prefer to let passengers on the left-hand side exit prior to parking (it’s best to line up the left-hand side of the car with the fence to maximise the room for the driver to exit on the right). Alarm System: there is an alarm system that is activated when the property is vacant, however this will be disabled for your stay. Water Softener: there is a water softener system located in the cupboard under the stairs. You will not need to do anything with this during your stay, as I will ensure it is adequately topped up prior to your arrival. TV / Sky: I have all the Sky channels (including movies and box sets) except for Sports (sorry!). To turn on the TV you can use the two separate remote to turn on the TV and then the Sky box, or the Sky remote can turn on both using the buttons at the top (standby, then TV, then Sky).
