A wonderful escape from a hectic world, with the sweet smell of Jasmine when in flower. Alternatively take a short stroll to many eateries including the 16 Footers club if a cooking free getaway is your plan. Park your car/boat on our driveway with undercover carport space for 1 car, plus another on driveway. Also plenty of street parking. Nb. our garage building is for owner use only and will be locked for your stay. Our large rigid inflatable power boat is stored at the back of the long driveway, but still plenty of room for your car. We will leave our boat there during your stay but will not access it.) CLOSENESS TO EVERYTHING * Level Walking distance to the Lake, refurbished Public baths, 16 Footers Club, Cafes, Shopping centre, Woolworths, Coles, Aldi, restaurants and coffee shops. * Short drive to Belmont Yacht club, golf club, beaches (Redhead, Blacksmiths, Caves) , boat ramps, café areas, walking tracks and paths. * Enjoy a cold drink, coffee or picnic along the Belmont foreshore park area and baths. * Take a short drive to any of the local areas which are just so picturesque. eg Valentine, Warner's Bay, beach areas, Swansea, Caves Beach. * Watch or participate in the sailing mid week and weekends, from either of the 2 local sailing clubs- Belmont 16's or Lake Macquarie Yacht club, or just around the lake you will find scattered a range of other sailing clubs. * Surf at any of the local beaches or compete. * Catch a fish off the local jetties ( which are just a short stroll away) or launch your boat and enjoy the entirety of Lake Macquarie. ( larger than Sydney harbour). * Boat ramps 6 minutes drive away. Valentine Pontoon and Croudace Bay Pontoon. * Bike ride or walk the Fernleigh track ( 5 mins away) which is a glorious track through bushland all the way to Newcastle. The house is private with a self check-in lockbox. * We are only a phone call away if necessary. Son lives nearby if needed. * Please feel free to use our undercover carport and extended driveway. The separate garage building which is locked is for owner use only. Our boat is located at one end of the long driveway but we will not access during your stay. * The kitchen is quite well stocked with a variety of our general food items and the basics eg coffee, tea, sauces, jams, cereals, glad wraps. Please feel free to use small quantities of the basics or replace if use lots. There is still plenty of room for your personal food items. We are only a phone call away if needed. Belmont.....Lovely lakeside suburb, towards the north end of Lake Macquarie. Situated between the beach and the lake. What more could you want! * Lake... level 5 mins walk away. * Beaches... 10 mins drive to closest. Such an array. Caves, Blacksmiths, Redhead etc. * Shops galore..... Belmont 2 mins drive, Charlestown 8 mins drive, Warner's Bay 7 mins drive, Swansea 7 mins drive..... Local buses to Newcastle and beach areas are within a few minutes walk. * Perfect location for attending weddings, Sailing at 16 Footers club, Lake Macquarie Yacht club, playing golf at the local Golf clubs, fishing, boating, beach going or just enjoying the local area. Perhaps do a lake drive? Or visit the Hunter Valley and wineries. Only the guests who are booked and confirmed are permitted to stay overnight. We are very considerate of our neighbours and so expect our guests to be too. Our house is gorgeous and the expectation of guests is to respect our home, our property and the neighbours. We welcome bookings from guests that understand and are happy to follow these requirements. A security deposit is asked for. * Sorry NO SMOKING inside or outside on the premises. * Sorry NO PETS. * Sorry but this property does not cater for infants or very young children. * No noise that can be heard by the neighbours after 10pm. * Please leave property as found- blinds down, return key to lockbox etc. Please hang towels. * YOUR PRIVACY..... This self contained cottage is booked exclusively for your use. It is thoroughly cleaned prior to your arrival and we have lock-box check-in and check-out to help you have a Safe Stay. As we value your privacy, the house will not be cleaned during your stay. There is a washing machine and laundry powder with dryer and an outside clothesline. Basic cleaning products are provided. Regular cleaning can be arranged if required for longer stays, price on application.
