The Lambs Orchard is a truly unique space, offering guests their very own one acre garden of Eden for up to eight guests. Imagine your holiday, an acre of fruit trees, with your own private badminton court, cricket pitch, BBQ and gazebo covered dining area. Chickens at the end of the orchard and bee hives to assist pollination, cattle and sheep quite literally overlooking the fence. There are two accommodation options on the Lambs Orchard. The first comprises of a caravan, that can be configured to sleep two double beds or one double and two singles. In addition to the caravan, there is an optional, large safari style tent with up to four high quality air beds, available with all bed linen at £40 per night. This £40 per night for the tent is in addition to the main Airbnb booking fee and is payable on arrival by instant transfer or cash. Please note the minimum fee for the tent is £160, so if you booked the caravan for one, two or three nights it’s still £160. The level of space, privacy and tranquility is amazing. There are loads of activities too. We have strung a full size Badminton net between two fruit trees, we’ve mowed a “Cricket square” so you have your own mini cricket pitch (don’t expect an Olympic standard badminton court nor the Oval! ). There are plenty of badminton rackets and cricket bats, just in case you don’t have your own. And for dining al fresco, there’s an Aussie style BBQ, which means a steel plate on some bricks under which you light a fire with wood from the farm. Temperature control is achieved by having a smaller fire and the warming oven is positioned by moving the food to the side of the hot plate. The last time we checked John Lewis didn’t stock this particular type of BBQ! What else can you expect? Well a teak dining table and chairs over which there’s a Gazebo, some sun loungers, lambs in the orchard and cows in the field. We really do our best to make this space your very own garden of Eden during your stay. The Lambs Orchard is suitable for guests who want to enjoy an exceptional level of privacy and real family bonding time. Children (or their parents) can help to feed the lambs each day, watch our bees harvesting nectar and the farm is a haven for deer, badgers, barn owls and otter and brown trout in the river. Please take a moment to fully understand the accomodation layout as the Airbnb website options are good but not entirely appropriate here. Bedroom 1 and bedroom 2 are the two double beds at either end of the caravan and bedroom three is described as a floor mattress. Airbnb doesn’t have an option for a tent, but bedroom three is the optional adjoining tent that sleeps five. The tent was actually purchased as an 8 person tent, the point being that for five single beds there’s loads of space. It’s also high enough to stand up in the centre. Please note that we cannot guarantee the weather. Whilst the orchard setting is stunning, gale force winds, storms and flood warnings can happen. We can’t plan for that and a caravan and certainly a tent can be a bit miserable when that happens. The weather, if wet and windy, is not our fault. The caravan has a small kitchen area, although most guests quickly become addicted to the BBQ. There’s a caravan “Thetford cassette” toilet, which needs emptying each day, and an internal shower. It’s functional. And being a farm, we also have a toilet and shower in the yard, which can be used as a back up or for extra room. That farm toilet is also where we keep the washing machine and dryer. Please note the fee for the tent is payable separately and promptly upon arrival. It is not included when making your online reservation. Any Airbnb confirmation of full payment is for the caravan only. All water, electricity, use of washing machine etc is included. No extras other than if you have an electric car and need to charge from our mains, we charge this at 25 pence per KW. We do not cater for stag, hen or other such events. Our caravan is simple but spotlessly clean. Guests can enjoy a unique face to face nature holiday experience. If you have any questions or concerns please ask before booking. We are not a holiday park or campsite. That means there are no concrete paths, no flower pots, no bar, no street lights and no arcade games. And crucially, no other caravans in the Lambs Orchard, thereby providing an utterly exceptional level of tranquility and privacy. An important word of advice. The guests who enjoy the lambs orchard are those guests who genuinely want to be close to nature. The guests who are simply looking for something “cheap”, don’t. All breakages and or damage must be paid for in full. If you notice a problem please notify us in writing (Airbnb email or (Hidden by Airbnb) text) within one hour of arrival. Guests can enjoy the stunning beauty of the farm. Maybe foraging for wild mushrooms, blackberries or sloes? Maybe you want to pick some elderflower for a cordial to sip after an exhausting game of badminton? Perhaps exploring the woods and making a camp? Of course if you leave the farm there are many attractions locally too. Truro Cathedral, Falmouth Maritime Museum, Penryn College, the awesome turquoise beaches of the Lizard Peninsular, St Ives Tate, Flambards, and many famous gardens and houses are all within 30 minutes. Kynance Cove, Church Cove, Kennack Sands, Poldhu beach, boat hire from St Anthony, the King Harry Ferry, Trebah, Glendurgan and much more are all within 30 minutes drive. Plenty of events too. Falmouth, St Mawes and Port Navas regattas, Royal Cornwall, Camborne and Stithians shows, Padstow Obby Oss, Falmouth Oyster Festival, Cornish Pirates rugby at Penzance, Tate Modern and Barbara Hepworth galleries at St Ives, and the increasingly popular St Ives film festival, Newlyn Fish festival, Helston Flora day. You see, there’s a lot that goes on in Cornwall !!! Mobile phone reception is generally very good with 4g. We have designated the entire farm as non smoking. The caravan has an internal Thetford Casette toilet. Guests are responsible for maintaining and emptying this cassette. We have two others properties listed. The Old Cart Linney and the Carpentry Shop. Do read our guest reviews to help you better understand the type of setting. Guests are the sole occupants of the Lambs Orchard, an area of one acre with around 40 fruit trees and which will almost always contain orphan lambs. The external dining table and BBQ are for your use. Normally you will be alone in the orchard but our other guests are welcome to view the bees and trees. That said we only have two other properties. In addition guests are welcome to explore our farm which includes woodland, part of the Helford river and our grass tennis court. The tennis court is shared with other guests. Please always close farm gates, as escaping cattle can cause damage to property, and if on the public road to people too. We do not under any circumstances cater for hen, stag or similar type parties. We take immense pride in our attention to detail and the support we offer all of our guests. We are always here to help, but conversely we believe in allowing guests their own space and privacy. The Lambs Orchard is new for (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) , but we suggest you search our internet reviews for both the "Old Cart Linney" and "The Carpentry Shop" and read what guests have said about us in the past. We consider any guest as someone coming into our home. We treat all of our guests with the utmost courtesy and respect and we ask that is reciprocated. We do not under any circumstances cater for hen, stag or similar type parties. We are positioned on the edge of the Lizard Peninsula, arguably the most beautiful and unspoilt part of Cornwall, and geologically the most important area within Europe. The beaches are stunning, putting much of the caribbean to shame. Try searching for images of "Lizard beaches" or "Lizard fishing villages" and you will soon see what we mean. We are beside the Helford River, and famous beaches such as Kynance Cove, Kennack Sands, Poldhu and Church Cove are nearby, great food at amazing pubs including the Trengilly at Constantine, Halzephron at Gunwallow, and of course the likes of the Eden Project, Tate St Ives, Goonhilly Earth Station, or just enjoy the farm. We would suggest a car, but should you wish to cycle, that’s feasible. We can organise a taxi from Redruth railway station and Newquay airport. If you are planning to collect a hire car then you should travel to Truro railway station. Enterprise will collect you, useful with suitcases especially on the return leg, Hertz are on platform 1 and Avis are a 5 minute cab ride. There is no WiFi, but to be candid our typical guests want to escape the internet, not have it follow them on holiday. There is usually a good mobile signal. The caravan has an oven, hob, kettle, toaster, microwave, cafetière, plenty of plates, cutlery, fridge (with tiny freezer), linen and towels. There is an electric heater. We do not have nor do we allow gas heaters. If you have any special requests please do ask. We try to help if we can. The farm is positioned at the end of a 650m, rather bumpy lane. There’s plenty of parking available. There is a beehive in the Lambs Orchard. The bees are very quiet but please consider this carefully if you have a bee allergy. We normally inspect the hive weekly, and we have spare suits if you’d like to watch.
