Piha Beach Bungalow is 5 minutes walk to beach, 10 minutes walk to piha store, café, library, art gallery, tennis court and bowling club, It has 180 degree views of the ocean yet is secluded being tucked back into hill and sheltered from prevailing winds. It has easy street level access. Come and relax and lounge on comfortable cushions under the pohutakawa trees and listen to the waves in the background and watch the sun set over the ocean. The house is perfect for couples wanting to enjoy a romantic weekend. Also fabulous for a working or writing retreat with great unlimited wifi. With such amazing views the house is enjoyable in all weather extremes. There are steep dunes off the deck so not so suitable for small children.The house was built in the early 1940s and has been restored keeping it’s art deco retro features including bent floors and warped window frames. It is cozy and dry, easy to heat with a classic woodburner and additional fireplace for colder months. Wind out sun shelters on deck and big trees on part of deck for shade in summer. Garden Road is known as a lush tropical oasis with it’s own micro climate, sheltered from prevailing winds, a special place to unwind after a day in the elements.
