6Stanco B&B - Camillo

Come to 6stanco B&B in the small village of Stanco, in the Apennine foothills. Camillo is one of our three double B&B rooms, each with ensuite bathroom. Beautiful views, space to relax by the pool or do some local sightseeing. This renovated stone farmhouse is now our home. Breakfast is served under the grapevine in good weather. Courtyard with two stone barns converted into three apartments. Shared swimming pool, terraces, Beach volley pitch, Trampoline, Course room, chapel & garden. Old Stone farmhouse with a lot of character, some antique pieces of furniture, with wooden or terracotta tiled floors. Camillo is on the first floor and has its private bathroom en suite. All B&B bedrooms have South-west views towards Montovolo. Our Biomass boiler provides heating and hot water. Loading and unloading of cars in the courtyard is always available. Then, like us, 50m away in the village square parking bays. You are welcome to ask for any local information before your stay or at breakfast! Plus I can email you our Guide Our village Stanco is 2.5km south of the centre of Grizzana, home to Giorgio Morandi's summer Painting studio. It is set in the foothills of the Apennine Mountains at an altitude of 600m with a view south to Montovolo, then Tuscany beyond. We are immersed in nature and wildlife, such as deer, badgers and wild boar, positioned next to the regional historic park of Montesole, close to the magical castle 'Rocchetta Mattei', the national park of Lake Brasimone and Lake Suviana and along the trek routes of 'The Etruscan Way' & 'The Wool and Silk Way'. An ideal place for rambling, trekking, walking excursions and horse riding. Also cycling for the very fit with professional bicycles! Arriving by car, we are 12 minutes away from the exit 'Rioveggio' on the A1 motorway, 'PANORAMICO' branch. Do not take the new 'DIRETTISSIMO' branch which bypasses us. We are 6 minutes away from the Train station of 'Grizzana' also in the Setta valley. Here there is free parking so it's easy to visit Florence and Bologna by train. Only a few daily buses between this station and Stanco and no taxis. Our Eolo Wifi is reliable but connection speed is slower than in the city.
