A country house in the middle of vineyard

Antique country house situated in an ample garden of olive trees and vineyards. This traditional style house is constructed groundfloor and has a covered terrace in front overlooking the vineyards. The surroundings are quit and peaceful! Best place to look at the stars in the night is the rooftop terrace! The big entrance door leads into a spacious living and dining room, complete with sofa, TV, fireplace, air-condition and a big dining table. Well equipped kitchen with fridge, gas stove and electric oven. Bathroom with tub, WC and bidet. The main bedroom has a double bed with a new mattress, wardrobe and air-condition. The small bedroom has a sofa bed (sleeps 2) and a small walk-in wardrobe. There is an ample terrace around the house, which is perfect for eating & relaxing outside. We use this house as a country get away for vacation and weekends in summer as well as in the cooler months of the year. For a cultural trip we suggest may, june, october & november as ideal months. You will enjoy sunny days, beautiful lush landscapes & moderate warm temperatures. From july to september it can get really hot. Ideal for exploring beaches, enjoying the cooler countryside air & enjoying the warm Italian nights with their bustling night life. We love hearing the sounds of the nature and relaxing under an olive tree, while being at a short distance from the town center. The house and garden is for your sole use during your stay. The old town of Francavilla Fontana has been well restructured in the last decade. It is less touristic than many other Apulian towns but has beautiful old Palazzi, squares & streets to discover. The lifestyle is still original and well preserved. There is a delightful saturday market and in the evenings the town is meeting in the townsquare for an Aperitivo before heading in one of the charming restaurants of the town. The Adriatic & Ionian sea are both at a convenient distance from our country cottage. Our favourite beach spot is about 20 minutes drive by car away on the Ionian sea. Based in the center of Puglia you can explore many lovely towns and villages at convenient distances. Ostuni, Grottaglie, Taranto, Brindisi, Manduria and Oria all offer lovely architecture, charming old towns, great restaurants & typical south Italian culture to discover. Must-sees like Alberobello, Lecce, Gallipoli & Otranto can be easily visited from Francavilla Fontana by car in easy day-trips.
