This unique space is container turned into a complete artisan-built mini-home, with all furniture hand-crafted from locally sourced wood and resources. It has all the features you'd expect in a home: bathroom with shower, bed for two, kitchen with sink, fridge, and induction hob, and a comfy sofa; all set in a smartly designed layout to maximize space without sacrificing comfort and convenience. Add in the large terrace and even larger garden and you've found your own private tiny paradise! A local carpenter/builder/artist designed and crafted this entire tiny house using primarily local-sourced products. The warm, nature-inspired decor has you feeling part of the surrounding forest, while ensuring the comforts of home. The large terrace with dining table and chairs overlooking the private fenced garden offer a secret paradise within the stunning natural setting of the Soca Valley. A half hour hike to a 30 meter waterfall starts outside the garden gate, and a refreshing natural pool fed by our local stream and mini-waterfall is just steps away. We offer our own personalized guidebook of the area, along with options for tasting and purchasing local produce. Although designed for couples, we consider families with small children as well. This idyllic retreat is truly unique and for those seeking something more than ordinary. The entire space is yours and yours alone--from the tiny house itself to the large terrace, and the large fenced-in garden too! We live on the property adjacent to the Tiny House and are more than happy to help/offer suggestions/point towards sights and tours, but the Tiny House house has been designed as its own private space and we will not intrude unless invited. The Tiny House is located at the village's edge, allowing for almost complete isolation and privacy, but without the stressful drive into the wilderness. Grocery stores, cafes, pharmacies, and restaurants are just a five minute drive (20-25 minute walk) away in the town of Tolmin. The Tiny House features a natural soundtrack of a running stream 24 hours a day, and includes its own refreshing natural pool complete with waterfall visible from the kitchen window. Several walks are possible from the front door, including a hike to a 30 meter waterfall just 30 minutes upstream from the stream next to the property, and roughly 15 minutes downstream you reach the gorgeous turquoise Soca River; another 10 minutes and you reach the confluence of the Tolminka and Soca Rivers in a place of spectacular beauty where many festivals and concerts are held throughout the year. Several other gorge hikes and waterfalls are within a 10 minute drive. The Tiny House is about a 10 minute drive from Most na Soci train station or 2 kilometers from the bus station in Tolmin, but we do recommend a car for maximizing your time in the area. There are a number of concerts and festivals in the nearby town of Tolmin throughout the summer.
