The only way to get to this unique property is 50 MINUTE WALK UP A STEEP MOUNTAIN PATH through apple orchards and past waterfalls. Ideal for people that love nature, walking and want to be surrounded by beauty. There are no roads! sleeps 1 - 4 people comfortable. The apartment is designed for 2 people however 2 extra beds can be put into the dinning room which doubles up as the second bedroom. Wifi is also available with speed upto 15 Mbps. There is a private paid parking in Vashist village. Over 2000m high & surrounded by lush,green valleys, waterfalls & snow capped mountains soaring over 4000m into the sky, sits our house.The area known as 'The Valley of the Gods' rises steadily past the house to a snowy mountain pass over which Ladakh can be found. With no road access this truly unique property is a 40 minute walk up a steep path through apple orchards and past waterfalls. Our cottage style house of granite and wood offers the ground floor apartment, with 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, 1 living area and 1 kitchen. Also there is a dining room which can double as a 2nd bedroom, depending on size of group. This property is ideal for people who love walking, photography, sports or just relaxing in nature. There are no roads, traffic or parking only the sound of song birds and water unless our dogs have a bark at some animal rustling though the bushes.We also have a lovely cat guarding the house from mice. The wifi has excellent speeds of upto 15 mbps for those wishing to combine work with your holiday. No access to the rest of the house and upstairs balcony. Access to ground floor apartment, garden and all the surrounding area We live in the upper half of the property, so we are here around 90 percent of the time, we can help with any enquiries about trekking and can also arrange porters to carry up luggage, guides, taxis and info about the area. To live in Nature with no roads or traffic to only be surrounded by the huge snow capped mountains and cascading waterfalls and thick forests, to watch this beautiful scene constantly changing but staying the same, to be still in mother nature's energy is a gift for the soul. Your tension will pass and the hectic life of work will wait for your return as you get your top up of peaceful green energy. The area is great for short treks & there are three magnificent waterfalls through forests, all a short walk from the house. If you want people then the village is only a 20 minute walk down hill with communal hot spring baths, temples dating back several thousand of years. Packed with culture and history. Restaurants, trekking & souvenir shops, local shawls and wool socks, travel arrangements, and other mountain sports can also be found in the village Vashist. Vashist is only 3km from Manali and 5km to Old Manali. the whole area is full beautiful local people and steeped in history with Temples and 'Pujas' (ritual ceremonies) going on, a great photo opportunity for camera enthusiasts Fly 1 hour from Delhi To Kullu then 1 hour in Taxi to Manali/ Vashist. Moter bike/car rentals local buses taxi and rickshaws/ tuk tuk There is no road access to the house the only way to get there is by walking. Guests need to arrive by 5 pm so there is plenty of time to walk up during daylight hours also the porters need daylight hours to carry luggage up the hill. If you arrive in the dark dew to delay i travel you will have to stay in village Vashist a night and trek up the next morning. If I do not have any booking I would be more then happy to move your booking forward by a day. Apartement can sleep 2 to 4 people . It is a 3 night minimum booking.
