Our small auberge is set within a beautiful mountain valley in the French Pyrenees. We have only 2 letting rooms and breakfast is included. We are both vegetarian and we provide exlusively vegetarian or vegan evening meals. We need some advance notice if you'd like to eat. We are handy for all of the main tourist sites of the region eg Gavarnie, the Pont d'Espagne, Lourdes. There are walking paths, cycling routes (including several Tour de France climbs), waterfalls, winter sports, beautiful mountain passes. You’ll love our place because of the views, the location, the tranquility, and the food. It is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids). You'll have your own room with ensuite shower, WC and hand basin. Additionally for this room there is a large roof terrace with panoramic views, sunloungers, umbrella, table and chairs. You'll also have shared use of the sitting room with wood-burner and you're welcome to explore the garden which includes a small stream, a vegetable garden and fruit trees, all managed without pesticides. We are on hand for advice on walks, bike rides, outings etc. We have a range of tourist information available including local maps. We can help with booking bike hire etc. If you'd like more information on things to do in the area, before arriving, please send us a message The valley of Argeles-Gazost (also known as the "Vallee des Gaves") is one of the most beautiful and touristic valleys of the French Pyrenees. The small town of Argeles-Gazost has a lot going on in the summer season. There is something for everyone - lovely architecture in the small villages, amazing local products on the weekly markets, unspoilt scenery, lots of outdoor activities, walking, bike rides, nice cities to visit - Tarbes , Pau, the Pic de Midi observatory etc etc. Public transport options - train to Lourdes then bus to Argeles -Gazost. No buses to Saint Pastous. For international travellers, Lourdes/ Tarbes airport has regular flights from Paris, London Stanstead (Ryanair) and other cities. The airport of Toulouse is 2 hours away, Pau 1 hour, Biarritz 2 hours. Although there are buses, including a low cost shuttle from the airport to the ski-resorts, it is difficult to visit everywhere by public transport, hitch-hiking is widely practised in the area. Our auberge is in a small group of houses on the outskirts of the village. Access is by a single carriage tarmac road. Our driveway is steep. There is a parking area half-way up the drive but guests are welcome to park right at the door.
