"maison de maitre" in Brittany

This ‘Maison de Maitre’ from 1904 overlooks the typical Breton village square of Plouvenez-Lochrist, in the north Finistère and is located opposite a Gothic church. It is ideally situated for all shops and amenities as well as being a good departure point for the beaches and the rugged northern coastline. Brest is 40kms from the house. It is perfectly suited to UK visitors as the ferry port of Roscoff is only 30km away. Being at the heart of the village the shops are only steps away (mini supermarket 20 metres from the house). The sandy beaches of Keremma are 5kms away! Spread over 200m² our home can accommodate 6 adults and 2 children under 2 comfortably. The house has 4 bedrooms and has period features (such as original fireplaces in each room) with a total of 2 double beds, 2 single beds and 2 cots. The living area is vast 50m², warm and with parquet flooring. The kitchen is well equipped with new appliances and a central island which makes for great entertaining. Upstairs there is home gym equipment and toys for the children. An enclosed courtyard leading to a large fruit plot and grass benefits from afternoon sun and means you can make the best use of the wooden deck area and barbecue. For 60 years the house was a well known bistro where locals met and this ambiance is recreated in the cellar with barrels, wooden tables and the original oak counter where you should come and try a good French wine!
