Town centre studio with balcony

My studio is located in the town center, close to the railway station. You will like it for its cosines and peacefulness, and for the small town park flanking the building, a real pearl. It’s suitable to couples and businessmen. Ample parking lot in the nearby Piazza Garibaldi, just a minute walk (admission with fee). Car box available in the building upon demand (5 Euro/day). The box is accessible by car-lift. The whole apartment is at guests' disposal. Guests can access the studio indipendently. Keys are contained in a small combination safe located in the garden (see photograph). My friend Lorella can be contacted by phone in case of need The "Center Neighborhood", Quartiere Centro, offers the best choice of bars, pastry shops, restaurants and stores in town. Squares, churches and stately mansions will add some interest to pleasant strolls. "La Cittadella di Alessandria" (National Monument) sure worth a visit. It's a star plan XVIII° century fortress, one of the greatest among still existent and best preserved European military monuments . It's the only fortress still inserted in its original environmental contest, on the River Tanaro left bank, close to the centre but devoid of a screen of buildings concealing the full view of bastions and moats. It's safeguarded by FAI (Fondo Ambiente Italiano) and inserted in the "Tentative List" to candidate to the UNESCO "List of World Heritage Sites" since 2006. FAI guided visits inside the fortress and its basements and dungeons in the afternoon of Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, starting from 3 p.m. (April to September) or 2.30' p.m. (October to March). In the nearby Piazza Garibaldi , nodal centre of public transports, at 2' walk from the apartment, bus stops to reach any part of town and nearby villages. Some 12 Km from Alessandria, the city of Valenza is famous for its goldsmith workshops. Here you've got the chance to buy at a very reasonable price the same jewelry you can admire in the most prestigious showrooms of Milano, Torino and Roma. Very often they are locally manufactured. Some 30 Km from Alessandria, the "Serravalle Designer Outlet", with its 250 shops, the biggest in Europe, offers the chance of the wildest shopping. Almost all the most famous fashion designers are present. Discounts range from 30% to 70% of the original price. “I Paesaggi Vitivinicoli del Piemonte: Langhe-Roero e Monferrato" (Grapevine/wine Piemonte Landscapes: Langhe-Roero and Monferrato) are listed in the UNESCO "List of World Heritage Sites" since 2006.. Alessandria, for its central geographical position, is the ideal stay location to visit the Monferrato area. The "Alto Monferrato", to the South, climbs to the Ligurian Apennines and presents higher and steeper hills. From this area come unforgettable wines, such as Cortese di Gavi, Brachetto d'Acqui, Moscato d'Asti and Dolcetto d’Ovada. The "Basso Monferrato", to the North, offers sweeter landscapes; the hills, lower than in Alto Monferrato, sweeten their flanks as they drop to the plain, reaching the outskirts of Alessandria. This is the area of Grignolino, Malvasia, Barbera, Bonarda, Ruchè, Nebbiolo and many other wines. Alessandria district is one of the areas with the major number of doc e docg wines. Many "Cantine Sociali" (village cooperatives), and private producers, offer incredible wines at reasonable prices in the territory. So, enjoy your wine trip! In Piazza Marconi, 100 metres from the studio, our local Scarborough fair, a characteristic vegetable market held from Monday to Saturday. Town market on Monday, Thursday and Saturday in the nineteenth-century Piazza Garibaldi. This square, surrounded by colonnades on three sides, with many quality shops, opens to the railway station gardens on its fourth side. In less than 5 minutes' walk you can reach the University (Law School, Political Science, Economics and Social Sciences Departments), located in Palazzo Borsalino, once upon a time headquarters of the world famous hat factory. In the building you can visit the Hat Museum.
