The Little Corner of the Grand Duke

The cosy apartment was renovated in 2014 in Tuscan style; the sleeping area, with a double bed, is located on a large wooden loft. With garden and porch, the apartment is air-conditioned, has satellite TV, WiFi and it is close to shops and services. The studio, ideal for couples, has been totally renovated and refurbished in August 2014 in the typical Tuscan style with terracotta floors, exposed stone inserts on the walls and ceiling beams; the room is air-conditioned and all the windows are equipped with mosquito nets. The bathroom has been fitted with an elegant shower in a niche and a heated towel rack. The sleeping area, with a double bed, is placed on a large wooden loft (on request we can provide for a child cot). The main room has been furnished with original restored furniture and is provided with a Full-HD TV with satellite system. There is a fully equipped kitchenette with a 4 burners gas cooker, an electric oven, a refrigerator with freezer and the essential small appliances. Of course there are all the dishes needed. The apartment has direct access to a furnished porch, where you can have breakfast, lunch or dinner and a large wooded garden with chairs and deck chairs. Guests have not any limitations in the use of all the utilities and to access to WiFi network. The garden and the parking are shared with the apartment owners. We live in the apartment on the top floor of the house: we will welcome you on arrival and we will say you goodbye on departure. We are also available for every need any time. In the village there are all the services: banks with ATMs, a post office, a catholic church, a supermarket, a laundromat, dry cleaners, a pharmacy, coffee shops, restaurants, tobacconists, newsstands, etc... For sports lovers in the area there are two 18-hole golf courses, tennis courts and an Olympic-size indoor pool while for those who want to go horse riding there is a riding stables not far away. Furthermore the hills of Tuscany are well-known among riders and bikers. Beaches, including the famous Cala Violina, and bathing facilities are just 10 minutes away by car. Inland there are many medieval towns, among which stands the town of Massa Marittima. The proximity to the famous "Teatro delle Rocce" (Theatre of the Rocks), to the Natural Park of Mining in Gavorrano and to the Natural Park of Maremma is to be stressed. For an interesting trip out of town, you can reach quickly and easily the cities of art in Tuscany by car or by train. There is a private fenced parking for 1 car or 2 motorbikes, with automatic gate and intercom (you will receive 1 remote and 1 key to the pedestrian gate ). The nearest railway station is located in Follonica, well connected by public bus (bus stop 200 meters). To those traveling by plane, the International Airport "Galileo Galilei" in Pisa is about 100 km of highway (one hour by car). We live with a cat: it is very shy and reserved. We are sure that it will not give any trouble ... probably you will never see it! However, it is jealous of its house, so we can not accept other pets. We speak Italian and German.
