Typical House in Calci - Launchpad for Tuscany!

Our house is a typical Tuscan house and is located a few hundred meters from the Carthusian Monastery of Calci (La Certosa di Calci), located in the countryside, only 15 minutes from Pisa and one hour from Florence. Our house is pet-friendly! An excellent starting point for exploring Tuscany and more. Our cottage is quiet and spacious. The kitchen is equipped with all appliances. In the living room there is a TV and a good collection of DVD movies. It is equipped with Wi-Fi. In the garden there is a table to eat outside; a lounge chair and a grill. The house is organized on three floors. On the ground floor the are the common spaces, including a couch that can be transformed in bed and a full bathroom. On the first floor there are two rooms and a full bathroom with Jacuzzi. One of the room as a double bed, while the other has a single bed plus a pull-bed. On the top floor there is one large room with private bathroom with shower and double bed. All the house will be made available to guest We are usually away when we rent the full house but we or our friends will provide any kind of support! Few minutes from our house, after a walk of about one kilometer, there is the beautiful Carthusian Monastery, in an area at the foot of the Monte Pisano called Val Graziosa. Former Carthusian monastery, now also houses a museum of the University of Pisa on natural history, featuring amazing 19 century pieces as well as more modern sections. A mummy, with a very peculiar history, is also displayed. The Charterhouse is about 10 km from the city of Pisa. The present appearance is Baroque style and consists of a large courtyard immediately after the entrance, dedicated to the life and the common point of contact with the outside world, as well as the buildings surrounding the courtyard are arranged cells, gardens and environments most reserved and quiet, suitable for the rule of the Carthusian life. The accommodation allows to visit the Monte Pisano area as well as to explore the most famous attractions in Tuscany. We will be happy to show you the trail and paths leading from our house to the Torre di Caprona (cited by Dante in Inferno, XXI) and to Rocca della Verruca. The town of Calci has a public transport line which leads to Pisa in about 20/30 minutes. About 15 minutes away is the railway station of Navacchio on the line from Pisa to Florence. Please, give them some food and water if they required (Our neighbor watch after the dog while we are away but sometimes they come around the house).
