Last minute cancellation: week available 28th August 2021. A light, pretty, traditional cottage that has recently been refurbished to a high standard. Cosy and well located for local walks, the beaches, shops and pubs and of course, lunch at the Hidden Hut. Dogs are welcome and there is a private enclosed garden to the rear. Parking is also available for one car. This charming cottage is over 200 years old, and does have cottage stairs and low ceilings in places. A welcome pack including tea, coffee, Cornish biscuits and basic kitchen supplies will be provided. Changeover day is SATURDAY at peak times. Guests have access to the whole house. Jenny, the owner will be able to answer any questions you have and our housekeeper, June, will be available should you need any help during your stay. Gerrans and Portscatho are tranquil and friendly coastal villages that are adjacent to each other. There are a couple of pubs, a lovely cafe (that also does some evening meals), a pizza restaurant and some small art galleries as well as a well stocked village stores and butchers. There are several local beaches within walking distances, for example Porthcurnick beach is about an 8 minute walk from the cottage and it is here that the (ever popular!) Hidden Hut can be found. Other beaches include Towan beach and a short drive away is the huge Pendower beach. All these beaches allow dogs, although the village beach (Tatams) does require dogs to be on a lead in the summer months. This beach is a 5 minute walk away down the hill. There are also lovely walks down to the nearby creeks, such as Percuil where you can launch your boat or canoe - only a 15 minute paddle to St Mawes!
