Cute, old home with lots of character in the historical town of Cospicua (aka Bormla) one of the beautiful Three Cities just a 5 minute ferry ride from Valletta. Enjoy the beauty and charm of the authentic side of Malta, surrounded by hundreds of years of history. Our house has been inspected and is legally registered and with the Malta Tourism Authority (HPE/0761). We collect 50c a day Tourism Tax which we pay to the government on your behalf. Our house is located in Cospicua one of the Three Cities which dates from the 16th century and is Malta's most historic area, with many narrow walking streets. You will be immersed in authentic architecture and the traditional Maltese way of life. FYI - if you are coming to Malta to enjoy the party nightlife, then look at renting in Sliema or St.Julians. This quaint home is freshly renovated with a new kitchen and bathroom, yet retains its original features with lots of charm, stone walls and a lovely rooftop terrace/patio where you can sit with a relaxing drink or eat dinner. The waterfront and yacht marina is a 5 minute walk with a large choice of top class restaurants and bars with gorgeous views of the water, sailboats and the Grand Harbor of Malta. To get to Valletta you can catch the ferry which is a 5 minute walk (and leaves every 30 mins) or one of the colourful Malta water taxis. In winter the ferry service runs from 7am-7pm, but in summer it runs from 7am-12am. The bus stop, corner store (for snacks, bread, milk etc) and bakery are all within a 5 min walk. While a larger convenience store is a 10 min walk through the town. Looking to go swimming? In our area you can either go to the small beach of Rinella Bay, or swim off the pier in Birgu. Other places in the south of the island which are further away, are the gorgeous St Peters Pool, Kalinka Bay and the picturesque town of Marsascala. The larger sandy beaches are in the north of the island (approx 17km) away. I live 2 minutes from the house, so if you have any questions I can easily pop over! Cospicua (also called BORMLA) is a beautiful town which forms part of the area known as The Three Cities (along with Senglea and Birgu). The town is quiet and peaceful, but if one is looking for something more lively, you can hop on the ferry to Valletta to enjoy live music in the many quaint bars - or hop in a taxi and head into Sliema if you are wanting that big night out. It's best to hire a car to ensure that you can easily get around Malta as well as get to all the beautiful swimming areas! There is free parking on the streets surrounding the house.
