A lovely cosy second floor private room, one floor above the nearest bathroom. It has a small window overlooking Church Rd and a velux window both of which have manually operated blinds. The room has a radiator, small table and chair, an easy chair, mirror, wardrobe, dressing gown, towels, single bed, lamp, kettle, iron, hairdryer. Careful, capable guests can use our Kitchen, we may limit the use to microwave only if there are any unsafe practices. Cooked meals consumed in the kitchen please. Lovely spacious Edwardian house within a five minute walk of the celebrated Gloucester Rd with all its independent shops, bars and restaurants. A short walk to Southmead Hospital, the Memorial Rugby and Football Ground, Gloucester Cricket ground. Excellent bus service to Airbus, Filton, University West of England ( UWE), Ministry of Defence ( MOD ), Cribbs Causeway, . On street free parking. Guests will find hand sanitiser in the hall for use on entry. The room comfortable and quite self contained with a minifridge, kettle, microwave , crockery and cutlery. Covid-19 recommendations now limit the shared facilities. Use of main kitchen is now by arrangement only, guests must ensure that no pans, grill or toasters are ever left unattended. ( We reserve the right to limit use to microwave only if there are any unsafe practices). We can provide individually packaged breakfast items like bread, butter, milk, jam and fruit or basics for arrival until our guest can obtain their own supplies. Please indicate your preferences and we will do our best! In summer month, the enclosed back yard accessible from the kitchen is equipped with table and chairs and patio umbrella however guests must close and lock the back door afterwards. We invite guests to use the shower room while we tend to use the other but the second bathroom may be used if busy. Guest should help by wiping down any shared areas and surfaces after use with sanitising products. Towels, shampoo, conditioner and soap will be available as will extra toilet rolls kept under the sink We have lived in the area for for many years and would be glad to help all we can with tips on places to go or attractions to see. We come and go throughout the day and can be contacted easily. Our experience and interests include cooking, gardening,music, travel, subaqua diving, nature conservation and environmental issues. Proximity to shops, bars and restaurants. The County cricket ground is a 20 minute walk away, the Bristol Rovers Memorial Ground is a 10 minute walk away, Horfield sports centre and Southmead Hospital are a 20 minute walk away. Bristol city center is a 20 min bus journey or drive going south, Rolls Royce, Airbus, Abbeywood MOD and Aztec West are an easy bus journey or short drive north as is Cribbs causeway shopping mall. A five minute walk to the Gloucester Rd for an excellent bus service into the city center which operates late into the night. and a bus service from Kellaway Avenue goes to Clifton and Hotwells. We have free on street parking which is well illuminated and one off road space when available. We strive to provide a clean, comfortable and restful stay for guests. We can offer space in our hall for safe storage of a pushbike. We recommend taxis or buses to travel to or from the airport. We do not allow smoking in the house however guests can access the back yard if they so wish but must close and lock the back door afterwards. Absolutely no naked flames in the room please. Please avoid any spillage on the carpet, leave dirty dishes near the kitchen and ask for replacement items observing social distancing at all times. Other parts of our house are designated for family members when they are at home who will also observe social distancing and wearing of face masks where needed.
