It is barely 250 meters from the lake. This lake town is known for its picturesque setting and cultural attractions. A walk along the promenade tops the list of things to do in the town. One can also bike to the next town i.e. Torbole. It is also possible to swim in the lake especially during the morning time. Boating, sailing, windsurfing and kitesurfing are some of the popular activities that travelers usually enjoy here. For those who love an active holiday, Monte Brione offers a good and easy hiking trail through various fortifications once constructed to keep the region safe. From its narrow alley lined with shops and cafes to Rocca (4 minutes’ walk)- a medieval castle with a museum, the ruins of Bastione and Torre Apponale (2 minutes)-a 16th century stone tower, there are many historical and cultural sites to acquaint oneself with the history of the town. For day trips, it is highly recommended to visit other lake towns on a boat trip. Foodies should make sure to enjoy lakeside aperitivo and the town’s traditional cuisine which is influenced by local Garda, Italian and German flavours.
