La Casa del Púlpito

The Casa del Púlpito has three floors: The first floor, which is accessed from a wide and regal doorway, where you can already distinguish elements that betray the antiquity and category of the house, is distributed in entrance hall, small reading room, full bathroom, kitchen and living-dining room. The second floor, which is accessed by an imposing oak staircase, has a cozy living room and four bedrooms, which are characterized by the exquisiteness and quality of all its decorative elements, of which three are doubles and one triple, and two full bathrooms, one belonging to the fire room, and another that serves the other three bedrooms. The second floor or below deck, perhaps the most authentic room of the house, is reserved for the exclusive use of the hotel staff. This manor house, which dates back to 1728, is located in the highest part of the village of Cóbreces, between the towns of Santillana del Mar and Comillas, at the foot of the Tramalón Forest and one kilometre from Luaña Beach. It is a noble building, typical of the period and of the area of Cantabria, with ashlar stone and oak wood as its essential construction elements. In its main façade we find an imposing doorway with a coat of arms, which serves as access to the property and which anticipates the taste of history that will leave our guests with the experience of staying at our hotel. This is not an ordinary country house, but an authentic home that, equipped with all the necessary details to guarantee the comfort and convenience of our guests, preserves the history that its walls contain and scrupulously respects its purest essence, its architectural value, the morphology of its rooms and the warmth of its materials in doors, openings, floors and coffered ceilings, making it a unique space.
