The cottage is warm,comfortable, a haven at the end of the road situated right on the shore, central to the very best of the West Highlands, near the iconic castle Eilean Donan,Dornie, Kintail Plockton,Glenelg,Applecross Isle of Skye. The landscape is wild and spectacular. This area is one of the most beautiful places in the world ! fantastic walks,climbs,wildlife, seafood, local bakery, castles & brochs! Otters & Herons on the shore beside cottage and clear starry nights are memorable..... Camuslongart Cottage, a lovely detached stone property on the shores of Loch Long . From the large sun lounge there are stunning views over the loch to the mountains of Kintail you can sit and watch the weather rolling in & glimpse Eilean Donan castle at low tide you may spot an otter in the winter months .The inner lounge is a cosy den with a wood burner & stone walls. Downstairs bedroom with sleigh bed and downstairs bathroom with bath PLEASE-NOTE hand shower attachment over bath only,this is an old property not suitable for a shower room. Upstairs has double bedroom ,big brass bed, views out to loch and single bedded room across landing ,cot is available on request . All bedlinen is 100% cotton This cottage may also be available with Heron Cottage. Warning to parents or guardians of children,there is direct access from garden to the loch. the whole 100meter shoreline of 23 Camuslongart On hand to give any advice and help,expect you would like peace and quiet. The cottage is central to the very best of the West Highland scenery all within 30 minutes Camuslongart is perfectly located for visting Isle of Skye Kintail,Glenelg,Applecross,Attadale and Plockton ,lots of a great reviews,books and tips in cottage to help choose where to eat and visit, car, train, Bus,I can pick up guests from train station. There are wonderfully scenic walks directly from the property. Canoes and small craft can be launched from the cottage grounds , wild swimmers can jump in ! but you need to enjoy seaweed! The area has a number of excellent restaurants serving good local produce and a fantastic local bakery 10min walk. Most repeated comment in reviews " We should have stayed longer "so think about slowing down ! P.S.this is Scotland ! bring a jersey/sweater,and a waterproof The water coming from cold water tap is completely safe to drink and very delicious.Definately no need to buy plastic bottled water. The towels are often dried naturally when weather permits ,so can feel initially crunchy...I do not use fabric softener.... Please read recycling information in cottage and dispose to bins correctly.
