Asteri cottage is an open plan, bijou and beautifully designed one bedroom cottage. Perfect for couples and honeymooners. The boutique style interior opens up to large terraces for dining and relaxation. The ensuite shower room leads out from the calming bedroom to the private plunge pool, which is 2m by 4m in size. The pool can be heated with prior request. The cottage nestles between mature olive trees in an acre of beautiful Cretan countryside and is secluded from the main house. Your hosts are always delighted to be on hand to suggest great tips and information about the area should you require them. A short walk will lead you to the village of Xirosterni with it's mini-market and traditional kafeneion which serves simple but delicious Cretan food in the evenings. The bustling village of Vamos, only a few minutes drive, has several tavernas, bakery, pharmacy and mini-markets. Ten minutes by car will take you to the beautiful, sandy beach of Almyrida with its array of seafront tavernas. Kalivaki beach and Georgioupoli beach are 15 minutes by car. The nearest airport is Chania and is approx 45 minutes drive from the cottage. A car is essential. There are several car rental companies based at Chania airport and it is recommended that guests pre book.
