Domaine de Macara

Macara is a place of encounter to get together and interchange.Everyone should feel confortable, leave the daily stress behind to find peace and recreation here. The quiet atmosphere and the magnificent surrounding scenery will help to enhance this. Parties are not allowed. Macara is an old farmhouse from the 18th century,completely renovated with charme and class. It has five rooms with 13 beds, consisting of one single room,3 double rooms and 2 three bed rooms(which of course can also be utilized as double rooms). There is a bathroom with two showers and two separated toilettes as well as another big bathroom with two showers and 2 toilettes. One additional toilette. There's a big, well equipped kitchen, the spacious lounge with sofa, fireplace , dining tables . The garden and the pool offer sufficient possibility to make yourself comfortable. The Ariège offers plenty of possibilities for hiking with the close by Pyrenees and at hand hills. Towns with weekly markets; e.g. the medieval Mirepoix or St. Girons situated in the Pyrenees offering products for every taste from biological food to folklore articles, anything you can think of. Dramatically perched castles by the cathares( Montsegur,Roquefixade, Carcassone amongst others) are waiting to be discovered. Toulouse, also called the pink city invites you to stroll within its romantic alleyways and historical buildings. The cultural life is rich and variegated. Cafés and restaurants spoil your palate. Exquisite stores and unique Second-hand shops inspire and seduce. Albi, Perpignan or Lourdes are other, easily accessible destinations from Unzent. Saverdun, the near by village is located 10 minutes away from Macara, from where you have train connections to Toulouse. We have two e-bikes, which can be rented. Three cats live here. Upon request Yoga and/or meditation can be offered by us. A tennis court is located 10 minutes drive from Macara. Badminton and Boule possible in the garden.
