Situated towards the northern edge of the city, in the suburb of Larkhall village, this bright home offers a quiet and relaxed place to stay. - 5 minute drive into centre - 10 minute bus into centre - 25 minute walk into centre - 20 minute drive from Junction 18 (M4) - Contactless entry Being located next to fields and footpaths allows an escape from the bustle of the city centre too. The house can be accessed from a quiet no-through road with ample parking. On entry, there is a bright decked area (which gets sun all day from April to October), leading down a few steps to the door. Inside, there’s a sunny, well-equipped kitchen with a gas hob and brand new oven. Guests also have use of a washing machine, dishwasher and Nespresso machine and will find the cupboards well stocked with crockery and utensils. The kitchen leads through to open plan living and dining area, with dining table, comfy seating and a large TV. Off the kitchen is a small snug with a sofa, stocked bookcase and a treadmill. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, both with king sized beds with cotton linen. A high chair and a travel cot are available on request, although bedding is not provided for the cot. The first bedroom has drawers under the bed and a chest of drawers. The second has plenty of wardrobe space and a chest of drawers. The bathroom has a bath with a shower, and a heated towel rail. Towels will be provided. Please be assured that we are strictly adhering to Airbnb cleaning protocols. The treadmill is used at your own risk! Guests have access to the entire property and the garden. A key will be left in a lock box and guests will be provided with the code before arrival. Hosts will be contactable should the need arise. The property is set on the North edge of Larkhall village, which has a Co-op, delicatessen, fish n chip shop, Chinese, Indian, burger bar and other independent convenience stores, as well as a couple of pubs. The house is set at the bottom edge of Charlcombe valley so there are lots of nice country walks nearby. It is a quiet area with plenty of green space, popular with families and those looking to avoid the bustle of the city centre. The canal is within walking distance too and is a lovely place to walk or cycle to a good pub lunch! The house’s location means it is perfect for those needing easy access to the motorway, as there is no need to cross the city to reach it. On the way into town you will find a Morrison’s supermarket within a couple of minutes drive. The house is suited to families or small groups of friends. Unfortunately we are unable to allow parties. Our friendly neighbourhood is very important to us so we ask that you respect our neighbours and keep noise low late at night. There is unrestricted, free on street parking right next to the house on a no through road. At the bottom of the road there is a bus stop where busses provide regular journeys into town via Camden Crescent. The bus continues onto Milsom Street in the centre of town (great for shopping!); the Guildhall (great for the Christmas market and Bath Rugby) and finishes at the train and bus station. The entire journey takes about 15 - 20 minutes. There are also several reliable taxi companies and a taxi from the centre cost from around £7 depending on the day and time of day. Please note that there are a few hills on the walk into town, although there are great views too!
