Single floor detached home with great porch and there is always parking available right in front of the house. Walking distance to Deanwood Metro Subway Station. Home is located in Deanwood. Deanwood is a residential area of DC. Perfect for guests who are driving to DC, because of DC parking zone laws. This home has free street parking in the front of the house, so you can leave your car parked and use Uber and Lyft and Metro. NOTE -the metro stations near the listing will be closed from May 28th to Sept 5th. The location is a short trip to the H Street Corridor with lots of restaurants and bar. Each bedroom has a double bed with TV set. The tvs have Amazon Fire sticks with access to Netflix/Hulu/etc. The bedroom that connects to the full bath has an empty wardrobe and chest with three drawers. The other bedroom has two small 3 drawer storage tables. There is a den in back of the house with tv (also with Fire stick) and loveseat. The loveseat pulls out to a twin bed. The keys will be in a lockbox on the front door. I will send a detailed message regarding the code to the lockbox and the code to open the wooden door. The front door can be locked on departure, and the key can be left inside. Other than that, you may see a guest who is staying in the downstairs separate apt. (It is sometimes rented to a traveling nurse). I may come through to water the plants. I can always be reached by phone, or through the apt. The neighborhood is mix of single family homes and small apartment units. Grocery stores, bars and restaurants are not walkable, but a short drive or Lyft/Uber trip. Whole Foods and Giant, both on H Street corridor are 4.0 miles away (14 minute drive). Lots of cool restaurants on H Street corridor. Take advantage of 6 minute walk to Deanwood Metro station. Please be mindful regarding noise, ie no parties. There is coffee and assorted teas in the kitchen.
