St Fiacre's Retreat
Secluded and self catering log cabin set in a beautiful 2 1/2 acre garden, your own private space to enjoy. Just over 5 minutes’ walk to the village pub and close to the Forest of Dean and Ross on Wye. There’s dedicated access and parking. Book together with 'The Blues Hut' for groups of up to 7 St Fiacres Retreat has 2 rooms plus wet room and an entrance lobby. Though for two people a couple with young child could be accommodated, please enquire for details. The kitchen and living area has everything you'll need to prepare and enjoy food. There's a full sized electric oven with 4 ring gas hob, fridge/freezer, and all utensils are provided. There is also a washing machine and gas central heating and hot water. The bedroom has a king size bed with a luxury Hypnos mattress, you're assured a very comfortable nights sleep. The bed will be made up ready for you with feather duvet and pillows, cotton linen and towels are provided. A paved terrace provides an outside eating area and there's a built in barbecue (charcoal not provided). No charge for infants, travel cot and high chair available on request . Your space is set in the middle of a beautiful mature garden of around 2 1/2 acres, which you are welcome to enjoy. You are in a secluded spot with no sight or sound of traffic or neighbour to interrupt the peace. Next to you are cider orchards to wander around in and only a few minutes walk will take you to our local shop and another couple to the pub & cider shop. Access is by a dedicated track and there parking right by the cabin. The track is fairly steep but well metaled, but if you're concerned or have an extra large vehicle there is the option to park at the bottom. I'll be around most the time so any thing you need please just ask. Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty This is the ideal place if you want a peaceful stay in original accommodation, yet within easy walk of a local shop and pub (CAMRA 2018 Good Beer Guide listed). Perfectly placed for River Wye tours and activities, and the Forest of Dean is only a short drive. Many Welsh Border castles are less than 30 minutes drive and there is much more to explore in Herefordshire. Just a few minutes walk are the #33 bus stops to Hereford and Gloucester, there's an hourly service during weekdays and Saturdays, two hourly on a Sunday. It's a great area for walking and cycling once you're off the main roads, with miles of quiet country lanes to explore
