"Gürbetaler Höhenweg" Bern with its wellknown old City is only half an hour away. Many other places of interest, like Thun, Interlaken and the bernese Oberland are not far away. Public transport runs every half hour (peak hours) to every hour and takes about 30 minutes from Berns main station. Free W-LAN
