The Old Forge

Nous sommes situés sur la D767, une grande propriété de deux moitiés comprenant notre maison et un hébergement séparé / privé. Un emplacement rural mais à moins de 10 minutes de Guingamp, une petite ville de caractère. Il y a de belles plages à seulement 30 minutes et la propriété surplombe la charmante rivière du Trieux .À deux pas, nous avons la forêt d'Avagour, idéale pour les marcheurs, les cyclistes, les amoureux de la nature. Nous avons un grand parking hors route. The Old Forge is secluded for those who want privacy, and away from the hustle and bustle of the town and industry . There's time and space to think, and the space to be creative , or just chill before an important business meeting. The IBIS is there for those who want a clinical experience , or for a more rural and homely time come and stay at The Forge . Our guests are welcome to share the terrace and garden , but also off road private parking and locked garage space for up to 4 motos (motorbikes). potentially more. There is also private woodland where other guests reside including Deer, Koypu , Sanglier , and feral cats. You may if lucky spot if lucky red squirrels and water birds of a variety and quantity too numerous to mention Kingfishers are my favourite We will be available at all times , but only as required or invited. Originally built in 1865 , The Old Forge has indeed been many things , yes , a Forge, but also a flour mill , bar , creperie , a petrol station, hardware store , and now a family home overlooking the river Trieux . There is an abundance of wildlife and nature walks in the forest of Avagour , also very popular with cyclists of all abilities. The Terrace is a real sun trap , also great for stargazing as there's no light pollution , so for when there's no moon, just the milky way out on view , best pack a torch. There are local buses but ideally you need your own transportation locally there's so much entertainment for the outdoors specialists , to the kids gone wild , with Vivons Perches adventure park , to Armoripark and even a Planetarium in the grounds of Brittany's own Radio observatory .There is Le Sept isles boat tour and beaches or marinas to explore.
