Beautiful house with pool set in private grounds.

COMBEL is a beautiful, spacious single story french house with private pool. Set in private grounds it is the perfect place to relax and get away from it all. Situated between the Dordogne and Lot rivers,in the Causse natural park. The historic town of Cahors and the stunning villages of Rocamadour and St Circ lapopie are a short drive away. The area is rich in history and wildlife. Nearby are many sporting activities to suit every taste and plenty of things to do and see for all the family. There is a very well equipped kitchen, a comfortable lounge and dining area with books, games, cd player and television (both French and English). The bathroom has a jet massage shower and twin hand basins, there is a separate toilet. There is one double bedded room, the other bedroom offers you a choice of two full size single beds or a super king size bed, both rooms have good size fitted wardrobes. There is also the option of a single size 'put you up bed' for one extra person/child this can be in bedroom 2 or put in the lounge area at night or a sofa bed for two persons situated in the lounge area. One of these can be added if requested in advance. We also have a cot for a baby but please note I do not supply the bed linen for this. All bed linen and towels (except pool towels) are included on the price. Il y a une cuisine bien équipée, une salle à manger et un salon où vous trouverez une sélection de livres, de jeux, une télévision (en français ou en anglais selon votre préférence) et un lecteur CD. Dans la salle de bain il y a une douche massage, deux lavabos, et puis un toilette séparé. La villa a deux chambres: une chambre double et une qui vous donne le choix entre un grand lit double et deux lits simples. Il y a aussi l'option d'un clic-clac lit pour une personne, dans la chambre 2 ou dans le salon pendant la nuit ou un canapé-lit pour deux personnes situé dans le salon, merci de demander à l'avance. Aussi un lit pour un bébé mais je ne fournis pas le linge de lit pour cela. Tout le linge de lit et les serviettes (sauf serviettes de piscine) sont inclus dans le prix. Les deux chambres sont équipées de grands placards intégrés. Si vous le désirez, il y a aussi un autre lit clic-clac et lit bebe. The house sits in private grounds of about .6 hectares and guests have access to the whole area. There is plenty of parking space and cars can be backed up to the door for easy unloading. There is a terraced and graveled area behind the villa which has a shady gazebo, automatic sunshade and bbq. This area is fenced and has lockable gates so is ideal for smaller children. The pool cover helps to heat the water and acts as a security cover, this rolls back out of the way but you can swim under the cover should you wish at cooler time of the year. There are wooded and meadow areas, we have decided to leave some to wildlife, other areas are mown and here you will find a hammock under the trees. In a small wooded area there is a large trampoline, swings, a slide and a basket ball net for the enjoyment of your children, the picnic bench under the trees means parents can chill in the shade while watching their children play. La villa se trouve dans 0.6 hectares d'espace verte et les clients ont accès à toute l'espace. La terrace qui se situe derrière la villa est équipée d'une belvédère, un auvent automatique et un barbecue. L'espace est entourée d'une clôture et de portails verrouillables, idéal pour les jeunes enfants. L'abri piscine chauffe l'eau mais agit aussi comme couverture de sécurité: vous pouvez l'ouvrir pour libérer l'espace autour de la piscine ou le laisser fermé lorsqu'il fait plus froid. La villa se situe dans une zone boisée ou vous trouverez une petite espace pour pique-niquer et un hamac sous les arbres. Dans une petite zone boisée, il y a des balançoires, un toboggan et un grand trampoline. (notez que les clients les utilisent à leurs propres risques) We live about 20 minutes away from Combel, we are always on hand should you need help, advice or information about the area. We respect our guests privacy at all times but in order to make sure all is well we will need to come and check the pool and gardens each week. We usually try to do this Wednesdays and Saturdays but we will always agree this with guests beforehand. The area has stunning countryside, is rich in history and wildlife. It is close to some of the most beautiful villages in France. If you can bear to leave the tranquility of Combel there are many places to explore and things to do in the area. Visit Cahors with its deep red wine and medieval bridge the stunning cliff top village of Rocamadour or St Cirq Lapopie, see the wonders of Gouffre de Padirac and Pech Merle or canoe down the magnificent Dordogne river. Découvrez les merveilles du Gouffre de Padirac et de Pech Merle ou faites du canoë en Dordogne. You will need a car if you stay at Combel. The nearest train stations are at Cahors and Gourdon. There are various airports for the area, Toulouse, Bergerac, Limoges and Brive. Vous aurez besoin d'une voiture si vous restez à Combel. Les gares les plus proches sont à Cahors et à Gourdon. Brive est l'aéroport le plus proche, mais il y a d'autres aéroports dans la région: Toulouse, Limoges, Bergerac et Bordeaux. Labastide Murat is about 6.5 km away and has a good supermarket, fuel, an excellent bakery, butcher, bar, restaurant and a tourist information. There is also a colourful but small market every second Monday. There is also a medical centre and pharmacy. We do not charge a cleaning fee. We ask guests to leave the property as they found it. Should guests want to pay extra for a cleaning service at the end of their stay we can arrange this for them. Winter rate from October to March inclusively include heating. There is a wood burning fire which can be used as an extra, wood charged at 8 euros a day to be paid locally. La petite ville de Labastide-Murat se trouve à environ 6.5km de la maison où vous trouverez un bon supermarché, une station de gaz, une bonne boulangerie, une boucherie, un restaurant et un office de tourisme. Il y a aussi un joli petit marché au centre ville un lundi sur deux. Un cabinet médical et une pharmacie sont aussi à votre disposition si vous en avez besoin. Nous ne facturons pas de frais de nettoyage. Nous demandons aux clients de quitter la propriété comme ils l'ont trouvé. Si vous voulez payer un supplément pour un service de nettoyage à la fin de leur séjour, nous pouvons organiser cela pour vous, avec notification préalable.
