The Boat House. Riverside spot.

There is a Tourist Tax of CHF 3.50 per guest 16 years plus per night to pay cash on departure. This unique free standing studio house on the river Aare brings a feeling of tranquility and privacy as you settle down to your well earned break. Ideal as a couple’s getaway, single traveler's, authors and artists. To access the Boat House, you must walk 200m along a gravel path along the river. There is a luggage trolley at the Boat House you can use. Recently renovated with a stylish fresh design. This cosy and romantic studio house boasts an upper floor balcony perfect to enjoy a glass of wine as you take in the amazing alpine glow sunset. Wake each morning to views of emerald green waters and the stunning surrounding mountains directly from your bed. The Boat house is accessible from Interlaken Ost train station by either an enjoyable 20 minute walk or 5 minutes bike ride along the Aare river. There is also public parking just 2 minutes away (CHF 4.- per day). Fully equipped kitchen, modern bathroom, cable TV, free WI-FI, washing machine, dryer, highchair, cot and two bicycles at your disposal. I live locally and am available to meet guests should they wish and always make contact during their stay to make sure everything is going well for them. Bikes are great way to get around Interlaken and are provided for guests during their stay. The apartment is located on the Aare River on the mouth of the beautiful Lake Brienz. The views in and all around Interlaken are simply amazing. The area is very popluar with tourists wishing to experience the numerous mountain peaks, tourist attractions and outdoor activities. Interlaken is an extremely safe area with a very low crime rate. Interlaken is a massive outdoor adventure base, similar to that of Queenstown in New Zealand. Paragliding, Skydiving, Canyoning, Rafting, Ice Climbing, Hiking, Rock Climbing, Fly Fishing, Mountain Biking, Hang gliding, Bungy Jumping, Canyon Jumping are activities available during the summer. Paragliding, Skydiving, Hiking, Hang gliding, Canyon Jumping, sledding, snowshoeing, skiing and snowboarding are activities availalbe during the winter. For the less adventurous and families there heaps of famous train journeys, boat rides on either Lake Thun or Lake Brienz and lots of day that include amazing playing parks. There are children friendly hiking routes, with bbq spots on the way. The 1st of August is National Swiss Day. The day has continuous events, parades and is capped of with one off with a brilliant fireworks at 10pm followed by live bands. Basically Interlaken has so much to do, I am still working my through the list. The safety, simple style of life and beauty of the place is why I feel lucky to live here. I truly cannot recommend it enough. You can walk easily into Interlaken and the train station along the river which takes around 15 minutes. Bikes are also provided during your stay. The public transport bus and train system is excellent. You do not need a car to explore the region. On departure day, we ask that you pay the CHF 3.50 daily Tourist Tax in CASH in the envelope provided. This is for ALL guests 16 years or older.
