Welcome to Littlebarn, situated just outside the beautiful market town of Frome, on the Somerset border, only 14 miles from Bath. Littlebarn has a generous living area with well stocked kitchen, lounge and bathroom, all on the ground floor. A double sofabed will easily sleep 2. This leaves the whole of the top floor as a light, airy bedroom with a kingsize bed and fresh white bed linen. Huge Velux windows frame the view over the hill and field behind. Parking outside for 1 car (more if needed). Littlebarn is a cosy home, in a quiet hamlet but still near enough to vibrant Frome if you want some night life. It is a place to recharge and reconnect with yourselves and nature. The woods, rivers and fields are bursting with wild life, you will see and hear owls, woodpeckers and if you are really lucky you may see Otters. Littlebarn is completely self contained but we live next door so you can text or phone us if you have need us. We can arrange for a breakfast hamper or grazing box for you on arrival with payment at the accommodation. Frome is a beautiful small town packed with history and independent shops. On the first Sunday of the month a large artisan market is run and the town centre converts to a vibrant meeting place for old and new friends alike. Littlebarn is ideally placed for visits to the many National Trust properties in the area as well as Longleat which is just 15 mins away. Prehistoric heritage sites such as Stonehenge and Avebury abound and there are lots of smaller local sites to explore. Bath, Salisbury and Bristol are all within easy driving distance. Glastonbury is about 45 mins away and there is the Clarks Outlet Village at Street. Picturesque Bradford on Avon is just 20 minutes away and is perfect for a day trip. Frome has a railway station where you can get directly to Bath Spa, Bristol and Bradford on Avon. We can supply you with numbers for Taxi cabs it is best to book in advance. Walking into Frome takes 20-30 minutes depending on your route and the length of your legs! Bristol International Airport is an hour away.
