Apartment in Oporto with terrace over the sea and the mouth of the Douro river, in a quiet street close to beaches, restaurants, bars and traditional shops, with multiple access to the Historical Centre and near the Serralves Museum. The apartment is located on the fourth floor of a residential building with a lift. It comprises: a living room, a kitchen, two bedrooms, a bathroom, two small halls, a closed veranda facing East and an ample terrace facing West. The two rooms are next to the veranda and the living room and the kitchen to the terrace. One of the bedrooms has a double bed and the other have two single beds. The living room has a spacious dining table and a large sofa that can be transformed into a double bed (1,40mx1,90m). The kitchen is fully equipped. On the terrace you can dine, sunbathe, read a book, relax. A parking space in the basement of the building can be used by the guests. The apartment will be for the exclusive use of the guests. We will be present at the reception of the guests. However, we will always be available by e-mail or SMS. The apartment is located on Rua do Teatro in Foz do Douro, close to the sea, one of the most beautiful areas of the city of Porto, a traditional place of leisure. In the neighbouring streets there are bars, restaurants, supermarkets, traditional markets, pharmacies, a bike rental shop, bakeries and a variety of shops where you can buy different products. At a 2 minutes’ walk distance you will find the sea front promenade where you can walk, run, ride a bike or skate and enjoy a fantastic sunset. Alongside this promenade there are beaches, bars and restaurants. You can choose to walk to Matosinhos beach or take the opposite direction to the mouth of the Douro river, and then walk along the riverside promenade to the Historic Centre. In the vicinity there are bus stops that will take you to the Historic Centre, the Port Wine Cellars, the Casa da Música (Music House) or other emblematic sites. You can also opt for renting a taxi on the Foz market square, at a 3 minutes’ walk distance. If you like walking you can easily reach the most interesting sites of the city, as for example: the Serralves Museum (20 minutes) or the Historic Centre (60 minutes). You may also choose to rent a bike. To reach the Historic Centre by bus you can select an inner city route (24 minutes): bus nº 200, departing from Cândida Sá de Albergaria street and arriving at Avenida dos Aliados (Praça da Liberdade); or the route along the riverside (20 minutes): bus nº 500 , departing at Praia dos Ingleses and arriving at Ribeira (Praça do Infante). The bus nº 203, bus stop down the street around the corner, arrives at Casa da Música in 20 minutes. You can also catch a taxi near Mercado da Foz. Trams or tourist buses that pass nearby are other possible options. From the airport you can reach the apartment by car , by taxi or by metro and bus. The taxi costs around 25€ and it takes about 20 min. The metro and bus trip costs € 1.85 per person, i.e., a total of 5.55€ and it takes about 1 hour; you must first take the metro direction "Estádio do Dragão" and get off at the station "Casa da Música" where you should take the bus 204 or 203 and get out at the stop "Diu/Teatro" that is just a few meters from the apartment. The metro ticket is valid on the bus since the interval between the metro and bus validation is less than 1 hour, otherwise you must pay a new ticket.
