Beach Room, double room with sea views & ensuite
Beach Room is a double room with private en-suite, equipped with all you'll need to stay in comfort and get a great night's sleep. We’re in a quiet, safe, residential area 2 miles from Portishead town centre. Your bedroom looks onto the Severn Estuary, right by the beaches and coastal path of the Portishead to Clevedon footpath. The area has a great range of amenities with easy access to the M5, Wales, Somerset and Bristol. We love it & hope you enjoy exploring it from your base here with us. We've tried to make your room comfortable with all the amenities you might need, whether staying for a short break or just passing through. Our decor has a seaside theme, not surprising given our great view of the river Severn estuary/Bristol Channel, which you can see from your room. You have your own private entrance, comfortable bedroom and private ensuite bathroom. We're in a lovely, quiet, safe neighbourhood, a stone's throw from the beach and coastal path, just a couple of miles from the town centre with its shops, boating marina, cafes, bars and restaurants, sporting activities and lake grounds. Lots to do locally for all ages and interests. Very easy access to major roads and the M5 motorway, Bristol, South Wales, the Midlands, London, and the South West, etc. Guests can use the dining room in the main part of the house for their own evening meal and breakfast, or the bistro table and chairs outside, in front of their room. We live in the property, so will be on hand during your stay. In the guest welcome pack in your bedroom you can find our phone numbers to call or text us, and an email address in case you'd like to contact us that way, or to give us your feedback on your stay. Please also tell us, and other travellers how we did, by leaving us a review. Redcliffe Bay looks out over the Severn Estuary with its busy shipping lanes and the 2nd highest tidal range in the world. The changing colours of the water, the light and sunsets, and sound of waves breaking on the beach are just magical. Just a few minutes' walk away is a pebbley beach and the footpath of the Portishead to Clevedon coastal path, which winds through woodland, past lighthouses, a disused golf course and piers. Portishead and nearby town Clevedon have a vibrant community spirit, a great range of amenities, lots to see and do, and easily accessible by road. Bus routes X3, X3A and X4 to Bristol are just 5-10.mins walk. Local route 88 for Portishead, Nailsea and Clevedon comes right by the house. Please note there is no train station in Portishead. Nearest stations are Backwell, Yatton, Avonmouth, Shirehampton, and the Bristol stations of Temple Meads, Parkway, etc. In addition to teabags, instant coffee, milk and sugar we also supply a teapot, cafetière with ground coffee, a selection of herbal teas and fruit juice, together with a welcome snack. We can provide non-dairy alternatives to milk if required. We typically have soya, oat, almond or coconut (not necessarily all at the same time). Please ask us in advance, or on arrival, if you would prefer this to milk.
