Private, self-contained, cosy modern cottage on semi-rural orchard location adjacent to Katikati township. Panoramic views with small deck, BBQ & swimming pool available. Very comfortable queen sized bed & portacot on request. Sofa bed available for extra guests. Ample parking for motorhome or caravan. Breakfast food provided for the first morning of stay. Pets not allowed. Proof of 2 Vaccinations against Covid-19 required please. Our cottage is completely apart from the main house. It is spacious, modern & cosy with a separate bedroom & is fully equiped with modern appliances including a barbecue. Our newly installed heat pump will keep you toasty warm in winter and cool in summer. A sofa bed is also available at a charge of $20 per nite for each extra guest. Wifi is available within the cottage as is sky tv. Laundry facilities available on request. We live onsite & are always available to welcome & make guests feel at home whilst staying with us. We also respect their privacy but are always accessible & available to help make their stay an enjoyable experience. Avocado Cottage is located within an avocado orchard. We are surrounded by similar orchard style properties in a semi rural environment which provides both a peaceful and tranquil setting. We are privileged to have beautiful views of our parklike setting whilst enjoying the vista of Mount Maunganui and its surrounds. Whilst we are semi rural Katikati township is only 10 minutes drive away. and Tauranga is approximately 45 minutes drive. Katikati is known as the mural town of NZ due to the displays of murals depicting the history of the township. Also proudly presents itself as the avocado capital and major kiwi fruit producer in the country. Other local artisan products include wine, honey, salamies and our late Friday afternoon farmers market is a must for a superb variety of fresh local produce. Katikati whilst a small local town is well serviced with a Countdown supermarket, a number of smaller shops and cafes, 2 garages , hotel with good family restaurant, take away outlets and a medical centre. Waihi ocean beach just 20 minutes drive away is a safe, patrolled swimming beach and busy seaside township in summer. For those cooler days both Saphire Springs and Athenree thermal pools give the pleasure of swimming in warm heated water. Both are suitable for supervised children and are within easy driving distance. Central location to outlying areas eg Coromandel, Rotorua, Matamata (Hobbiton), Waihi.
