THIS IS ONE OF 5 PITCHES offering... WILD and RUSTIC camping... After negotiating a 750m farm track, you will find seclusion tucked away in a beautiful wild meadow on this stunning nature-based farm in West Cornwall. Switch off and relax to the wonderful sound of nature. Mushroom Meadow is surrounded by trees and adjoins the Enchanted Woodland. It has the River Beeble as its southerly border, plus: *2 Composting Toilets *Hot Shower *Communal Fire Pits x 2 *Dish washing area Mushroom Meadow is part of a wider 'Nature-Led Plan' for Trefewha Farm. Its borders are left to grow naturally to increase biodiversity and give it that 'rustic' feel. You won't find straight lines in nature and you won't find straight lines here. The toilets are carved out of douglas fir and are placed over a hole in the ground! They are naturally composting - which means instead of flushing, you sprinkle some saw dust after you've done your business! But there is toilet roll and hand sanitiser provided too. The shower is made from conifers which were lopped at the farm and from other items we found in the barns, as well as natural hedging stone for the floor. The large communal fire pit is for the use of everyone. You will find free fire wood next to the entrance of Mushroom Meadow - big piles of it! And a wheelbarrow provided to transport the wood you require. Please just watch out for nails. There is also a smaller communal fire pit in the woods for those feeling adventurous! Please keep this fire especially small due to the sensitivity of your surroundings. Mushroom Meadow is accessed by a 750m track which meanders through Trefewha Farm. It provides an idyllic escape from the hustle and bustle of every day life, whilst still being within 20 minutes of the key attractions including the beaches of both the north and south coast. If you're looking to switch off your phone, get back to living in raw nature; and experience peace, tranquility and seclusion away from the normal jam-packed holiday sites, Mushroom Meadow is the place for you. I'm on hand to advise you throughout your stay but I'm also aware of your need for privacy. Praze village is a 5 minute walk from the farm and has a lovely little pub with friendly welcoming owners that also serves great food. The local shop opens from 7am – 7pm daily, selling Cornish produce (including local ales and cider!) And not to forget the renowned Philps Bakery specialising in the best pasties in Cornwall! You have to get there early before they sell out. With a Post Office and popular fish and chip shop to boot, this makes for an ideal base. With direct access to the public bridleway network and within a 5 minute walk of Praze-an-Beeble - a delightful village set on the River Beeble - this is a fantastic springboard for exploring the nearby coastal towns and villages. There is a bus stop right outside the farm entrance which will take you to Camborne, Helston, St Ives, Penzance and others.... Camborne train station is a 5 minute drive - from here you can head to the Cathedral city of Truro which is just a 20 min train journey, or head West to Penzance, also around 20 mins away. A top tip is that if travelling to St Ives, head to Lelant railway station and take the train in... its one of the most scenic journeys you will make. FOR GROUP BOOKINGS, PLEASE SEND ME A MESSAGE. GROUPS WILL BE SUBJECT TO NOISE AND TIME CURFEWS DUE TO THE PROXIMITY OF OUR NEIGHBOURS.
