The Vineyard Shed

This literally is the vineyard shed, converted into a cosy studio that overlooks this boutique, family run vineyard. Nestled among the vines beside the family home, this studio offers an ideal stay. Home to a working vineyard & Darnley Corner Wines The Vineyard Shed is fully self-contained. The main studio area has lovely views of the vineyard. The Vineyard Shed has been converted from a working shed. It is a basic, yet cosy design. A microwave and portable hob are available to cook meals. We do not offer a catered breakfast; our venue suits those who bring their own food or wish to dine out. You'll enjoy the quietness of the area, and the night sky is amazing. A private garden/courtyard is a recent development allowing guests to dine indoors or out. Vineyard tours are available on request. We can also give you plenty of information on local sites and things to do, along with the inside word on wineries, cafes and restaurants. While the unit is fully self-contained Richard and Anna are available to assist if anything is required to make your stay a pleasant one. The sunrises and sunsets are spectacular. The various colours on the surrounding hills are captivating. We interact with guests as little or as much as they choose. This has ranged from welcoming guests through to spending time sampling wines and showing people around the Waipara Valley. If you are wanting anything in particular from your stay, please just ask, and we will endeavour to accommodate your needs. Our neighbourhood is surrounded by vineyards and open farmland. Our neighbours are the sheep next door, the rabbits in early mornings and the hawks soaring high above. it is recommended you have your own transport to get to and from our place. There is a very infrequent national bus service. However, once you get here we are relaxed about letting you use our bikes to get around the various sights in the area. The Vineyard Shed is close to the family home but we keep things pretty quiet. We love sharing travel stories if people want a chat.
