Superior Beachfront Villa

This is an intimate family-oriented 5-bedroom villa, located in Mihiripenna, Talpe, on the main Galle-Matara Road. Our garden gate opens on to the spectacular Dalawella Beach, where you can dip in the natural rock pools and laze in the shade on the tranquil palm-fringed beach. The property consists of five well-appointed double rooms, two with private terraces and all with en-suite bathrooms. We can comfortably sleep up to 13 guests. All bedrooms have A/C and overhead fans. Footprints is a new state of the art luxury 5 bedroom villa, finished to the highest modern standards. This extremely spacious villa (7,800 Sq ft) is situated on one of Sri Lanka’s most famous beaches in Thalpe, just ten minutes’ drive from Galle Fort, in the south of the island. Footprints is a luxurious property designed in a contemporary style and lavished with exquisite décor, allowing visitors to enjoy tropical living at its best. The villa consists of four well-appointed double en-suite bedrooms on the 2nd floor within close proximity to one another and a 5th double en-suite bedroom on the 3rd floor. All rooms are air-conditioned. The ground floor consists of a large open-plan living and dining space comfortably furnished to impeccable standards. It has a modern kitchen complete with dish washer, fridge, freezer and cooking equipment. On this floor you will also find a TV and games room, as well as a powder room. The glass fronted living room leads to the swimming pool, outdoor dining terrace and garden. Take a few short steps and you will find yourself on a stunning tropical beach. Just a 100m walk down the beach you will find a natural rock pool where many of the residents have enjoyed a quiet time in the sea. The second floor has a unique Moroccan lounge and study area – a place where you can chill out on a rainy afternoon. This floor also contains a fully equipped laundry room and terrace. The Upper level consists of a sun terrace from which you can watch the sunset that Sri Lanka is famous for or take in exceptional views of the Indian Ocean. The villa is staffed with a cook and two butlers who will be happy to attend to all guest needs. Breakfast is included within the room rates provided. For any other meals guests can either purchase the food and have it prepared by the staff at the villa, or guests can simply provide the meal preferences in which case the staff will go out and purchase fresh produce as per the guests’ dietary requirements. In the case of the latter we will require the guests to reimburse the staff for the cost of the ingredients purchased at the end of the stay. The villa offers free wifi in the rooms as well as in all public areas of the property. Services such as free parking, laundry services as well as items required for infants such as a baby feeding chair and a cot is available free of charge. Footprints villa is a 2.5-hour drive, or 25-minute air taxi ride, from Bandaranaike International Airport. The villa is 3 km from popular nightlife at Unawatuna Bay and 9 km from the heritage site of Galle Fort. Guests have access to all common spaces including the pool, gardens, dining and living areas, kitchen, sun-terrace, game room and parking.
